i first heard this song while at a carney riding in a tilt a whirl (or Hurl as some say) - it was great to ride that damn thing with this song in the background ---good times -

THE FINE YOUNG CANNIBALS had a talent for writing good lyrics. Haven't heard "Don't Look Back" in years but it still sounds great......Refreshing to hear a song with some positive lyrics......their songs sound better even two decades later....
Guys.Bickering over different decades of music. I once knew a 65 year old man who loved Metallica. And, I knew a 10 year old boy who loved the music of Frank Sinatra. I just find it interesting that I can go back on YouTube to listen to music from whatever era and people who were young then will claim that all music since then is junk. They can't all be right.
I remember exercising to this tune at fitness classes I took at my local Y in the late '80s. Indeed, I couldn't help but get up and dance when I saw this video right now!
Yes indeed, "the crap of today will never beat the gold of yesterday!"
@arejayseeottawa you mean to say the subcultured commercial "rap",i hope. otherwise u have displayed ur ignorance on that topic. there was rap back then that many artists from different musical backgrounds and liked and respected - even took part in.And proper rap today.
Mainstream will always be there in ALL froms of music. its all about $. Do a search; how many orginal songs produced with the violin or trumpet in 2010 vs 1984 globally and be prepared. Ignorance is the cause here, so dont add.
Totally. I thought i was just being like my old man when i said "2000 music is totally boring" but now I realize that it's just a simple fact. We are in a slump of creativity right now since the 21st century. It can be seen in games, movies and certainly into music. Let's hope the next decade won't be as bad as the 2000 one because that was totally lame, with not much that would appear on a "music of all time" compilation. Which baby don't look back surely is one that would.
Esta banda siempre me agrado, aparte los videos que sacaban del 96.9 en aquel tiempo, guaaaa me dieron ganas de conseguir el CD............yea like music
probably my least favorite song on the album. Still is mind boggling that they went with "Dont Look Back", "Ever Fallen in Love" and "Im not the Man I Used to Be" for videos - over jams like "I'm Not Satisfied", "It's Ok (It's Alright)" or the sweet oldies sounding jam "Tell Me What" fuckin love Tell me What...
