  • THE FINE YOUNG CANNIBALS had a talent for writing good lyrics. Haven't heard "Don't Look Back" in years but it still sounds great......Refreshing to hear a song with some positive lyrics......their songs sound better even two decades later....

  • baby baby dont look back! Best dancing guitarists in the world! Brummies too!

  • Great singer, where are they? wish they brought out some new songs 80's style.

  • @captaindaring

    Hey bro...don't look back.

  • @captaindaring ...AMEN!

  • Wow amazing to realize this guy can sing low pitched too, he almost sounds like Springsteen in some places.

  • @enochjames Roland Gift has amazing range. He can go deep: /watch?v=wXCCM0riJjU

Or he can go high: /watch?v=FVUdx1J3Vmk

  • Loved this song when I was a kid. Always ALWAYS makes me smile.

  • why dont tha fine young cannibals sing eny more thay was good

  • One of the best mixed songs I know. Everything's on the right place. Great sound and good drive. Fine oldie.

  • Listened to these guy and depeche mode everyday of my childhood. Still love em

  • @StephanieRoze Amen brotha

  • Is the singer black? I know he's a blue eyed soul singer.

  • Flanger much?????????

  • This was by FAR my favorite FYC tune and it was so overshadowed by their other singles.

  • Good tune.

  • wow. I found that after 10 (?) years... It recalled my childhood. Love! :)

  • Always loved this song - kinda Beatles-y guitar, eh? Breath of fresh air during a period of metal and sterile new wave shite.

  • i love this song ..can relate .

  • go roland! fyc ftw!!!

  • Don't remember this one, but it's quite good.

  • like like always did

  • Guys.Bickering over different decades of music. I once knew a 65 year old man who loved Metallica. And, I knew a 10 year old boy who loved the music of Frank Sinatra. Music hits you at some point in your life and then it speaks to you. That particular genre becomes your favorite and you then base all of your future opinions of music on that. That's all there is to it. Taste. No ones taste is wrong. So, chill! But, don't get me wrong... I'm hating on me some Country music. Bleeeeech! :@)

  • @johnqkarin2 It's scary, we have to be related someway. You sound exactly like me. Especially on the country music part :P

  • @mdcowboy15

I know. Music is art. Some people hear a song and find themselves in it. Other people hear the same song and want to shoot the radio! LOL! I see you're a bit of a gamer... I was once when I was younger... the MMORPG world sortof lost me on the whole thing... but I still love to grab a shooter game and unload some of my 'issues' with it! :)

  • @johnqkarin2 What did I say to indicate gamerness? I mean, I am, but what exactly was it?

  • @mdcowboy15 When I clicked on your name I saw your page :)

  • @johnqkarin2 Ah ha. I have yet to post videos cause' I have no camera, but soon I'm gonna try to do that show. Tell you the truth I kinda forgot ; )

  • @johnqkarin2 I think people who don't like other types of music have not

really listened to other types of music! I used to hate..and I mean HATE

opera..until I heard Andrea Bocelli! Now I have more appreciation for style

of music! Opera will never be my favorite type of music..I mean come on..

it isn't Fine Young Cannibals or Led Zep or Alan Parsons or Small Faces

and on and on and on.....!

  • cool

  • perfect song.

  • Also FYI you can't form a fair judgment of a whole time period just by listening to top forty radio.

  • I just find it interesting that I can go back on YouTube to listen to music from whatever era and people who were young then will claim that all music since then is junk. They can't all be right.

  • This is a good one done by the guys and ric ocasic has to proud to hear his song done by them

  • I remember exercising to this tune at fitness classes I took at my local Y in the late '80s. Indeed, I couldn't help but get up and dance when I saw this video right now!

Yes indeed, "the crap of today will never beat the gold of yesterday!"

  • @arejayseeottawa you mean to say the subcultured commercial "rap",i hope. otherwise u have displayed ur ignorance on that topic. there was rap back then that many artists from different musical backgrounds and liked and respected - even took part in.And proper rap today.

Mainstream will always be there in ALL froms of music. its all about $. Do a search; how many orginal songs produced with the violin or trumpet in 2010 vs 1984 globally and be prepared. Ignorance is the cause here, so dont add.

  • Fuck this new generation of music. FUCK IT!

  • ESTA CANCIÒN ME GUSTA MUCHO, EXCELENTE GRUPO, AÑOS MARAVILLOS...

  • One of my favorites of all time!

  • Xavier St Cloud

  • Good song for this recession

  • Reminiscent of Buddy Holly's best, through and through!

  • This video could have been better than just standing there.

  • love this song.

  • awesome video , awesome song!!

  • the drummer looks like a midget

  • oh the memories

  • what an incredibly gay tune, why would youtube divert me from the libertines to this, just why!!!?

  • This is simply just such an awesome tune. I'd listen to it anywhere, anytime, anyhow...

  • I liked their other hits, but I thought this song was brilliant.

  • @bdgop This is their best tune in my humble opinion. You will not hear music like this again. I miss the golden 80s

  • 1000 times better than the jonas brothers

  • This was my dearly departed and my song when we decided to move to Maine....I had the car.....

  • music, lyrics, arrangement, production, a masterpiece

  • Totally. I thought i was just being like my old man when i said "2000 music is totally boring" but now I realize that it's just a simple fact. We are in a slump of creativity right now since the 21st century. It can be seen in games, movies and certainly into music. Let's hope the next decade won't be as bad as the 2000 one because that was totally lame, with not much that would appear on a "music of all time" compilation. Which baby don't look back surely is one that would.

  • "Top 10 80's!"

  • Memories of grade 8. Love it!

  • This video messes with my vision. I feel a little cross-eyed for about a half-hour after I watch it!

  • i like this song much better than their previous 2 hits.

  • yeah .... what the hell do lady gag shit and other jackasses think when they sing theirs chicken songs...... fuck 'em....

..... but 80s .... U can just dream of those times.....

  • Como olvidar los 80's, INONVIDABLE:::::::::::::::

Esta banda siempre me agrado, aparte los videos que sacaban del 96.9 en aquel tiempo, guaaaa me dieron ganas de conseguir el CD............yea like music

  • One of the most underrated songs on this album. I blare this song on the LA freeways when I get frustrated. It calms me down! Thank FYC!!

  • My favorite by FYC.

  • Excelente canción. Las malas rachas pasarán.

  • "Don't be sad, we'll get by..."

  • THE 80S THE BEST MUSIC !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Probably my favourite FYC song, Love it! Great Group!

  • very nice music with always this groove deepeeest voice from this FNY cannibals singer who is a sort of identity of that band!!! thank you FNY!!!!

  • probably my least favorite song on the album. Still is mind boggling that they went with "Dont Look Back", "Ever Fallen in Love" and "Im not the Man I Used to Be" for videos - over jams like "I'm Not Satisfied", "It's Ok (It's Alright)" or the sweet oldies sounding jam "Tell Me What" fuckin love Tell me What...

  • @BaxterD tell me what was the best song on the entire album! No one has it thought

  • This should be a downloadable song for Rock Band 2. Anyone that wants this song should go to the Rock Band site and submit this title.

  • Radio stations always overplayed SHE DRIVES ME CRAZY & GOOD THING and completely ignored this great, rhythmic tune...very underplayed and under rated. Great version upload, Spideraquidauana!

  • @gutez

    Thanks.. for watch

  • Cafú is back!!!

  • jajaja

    xD

  • How can you not be in a good mood?

  • Slipped a bit in the US. Only peaked at #11. How'd it do in the UK for the FYCs? God bless!

  • ONE OF THE BEST BANDS OF 80's, WONDERFUL SONG

  • Clássico dos anos 80. Os anos 80 foram excelente pra música.

  • What a great song...

  • a cool song...got some airplay back then in 1989

  • I'd rather see the bassist and guitarist reunite with Dave Wakeling and Rankin Roger and bring back the original English Beat.

  • More FYC please! Tell Me What is a great song too.

  • Roland Gift from FYC tried his hand at acting, too....check him out in several episodes of the tv show "Highlander", and he was also in one of the James Bond movies as well.

  • There were alot of guys in those 80's-90's bands who could slap the bass....check out the riffs from the guy in UB40

  • Gotta love it

  • que buena cancion......la mejor de este grupo.....guayaquil....

  • good song, good video.

I just don't get why they put the blurred part in the clip.

  • What a fun song!

  • The guitarists in this band came from the Beat. The Beat were much better than FYC.

  • @handsoffshesmine the bass player is one of the best and fastest players in the world , in my opinion

  • The background music sounds like it's taken from a Smiths record.

  • the video's creative special effects were ahead of its time for 1989..I can still see bands using this technique for their vids today

  • Great,I usually listen to electronic music and clasical music, and bands Like KRaftwerk etc.but i love this band!!!

  • Is it me or do the FYC have a similar style to earlier INXS? The way the Microphones change...like in the Listen Like Thieves Video.....by INXS. Man, I miss the old mentality for making music videos. Symbolism and all... To all the fans of good music (you know who you are) Much Love!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check out Joy Division. TOP 5 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @vandiemans

gimme a break about how the mikes change man...Cudos for all the rest (the symbolism n' all)

  • Fantastic band, takes me back!

  • Blew the factory speakers out of my brand new 1989 GMC pick-up listening to this song on cassett(YEA| !!!they were replaced under warranty)

  • This band is hughly talented, genius even

  • "I know times are bad...they`ll make ya wanna cry. Don`t fell sad, we`ll get by.Baby, baby don`t look back...It won`t do no good"

People take note, these guys know wtf they`re singing bout. Lord knows we need a little more wind in our sails nowadays.

  • he knows how to make love to the camera baby....work it!

  • this guy face never change! no matter what part of the vid - what is he made of ice or something??

  • I remember back in 1989, my mother and I were driving to Ohio and got completely lost. I'll never forget this song playing on the radio. Hahaha how time flies.................

  • Top Model trilha internacional, os filhos de Gaspar sufando e curtindo a vida..., grande época.

  • Anyone out there remember the table jukeboxes and chery-lime rickeys? This cute song is so reminiscent of the old drag races out on Avenue 16.

  • great song, great lyrics, great music...not like the crap from this time

  • Haahaha!!!! what are the two white dudes doing behind the singer??? Bloody perverts!

  • man i love the old music and im 17 man fuck the new music

  • gran tema

  • The crap of today will never beat the gold of yesterday

  • @gamehound83 SOOOOO true! music has sucked for atleast ten years, I mean Lady Gaga? are you serious?

  • @quadleaf95 LadyGaga s nothing

Dusty Sprinfield or Bonnie Tyler would have handled her

  • @gamehound83 yup

  • @gamehound83 Tell me about it man.....

  • @gamehound83 EXACTLY!!!!!

  • @gamehound83 The crap of yesterday will never beat the gold of today.

  • @warmhurt Ha ha you dont know what your talking about jr.

Today's crap tries to remake yesterday's gold. Not the other way around. ANd they do a horrible job of it. Come back when you learn a thing or two about music

  • @gamehound83 I bet my taste in eighties music is as good as yours or better. If you think all music today is bad, you're just exposing your ignorance. And how do know how old I am?

  • @warmhurt You talk like your 5 years old. Gold of today you say? Where? Nobody today is worthy

  • @gamehound83 How do you know that unless you've listened to everybody out there? Yes, a lot of the stuff on the radio is crap, but that is not even close to everything being done. I could point stuff out to you but it would probably be a waste of my time since you have obviously closed off the ability to expand your tastes.
