you truly show how ignorant the current music scene is. im 19 and i listen to old skool, electro, and all sorts of stuff you would consider to be shit. perhaps you should do your research, cause you soon discover that all modern music comes from the 80s and the 90's. like auburn. they sampled ATC for their 'new' song. just one of countless examples anyone can find
First heard this at a rave at the Corn Exchange in Cambridge in about 1990, Carl Cox on the decks. Trippin. Fkin shit myself. Top track. Bonafide hardcore classic.
@richgorman26 Na I am not the music maker, he is one of my brothers though. He is putting on another techno city at The Earl in Sheffield on 3rd Dec. @oldskoolraveruk She played this track after someone died at a rave back in the day. It put her in a bit of a bad spot. Not really a clever choice of track.
@planetyes im with u now lol. reminds me of the twin towers stamp on the underside of 9bars after 9/11. and the bettsie e's after the liah betts incident..................bad taste for sure!!

lol, DJ Hype did a wicked scratch of this - it was on radio, used to have the tap.. The scratch was fking wicked.. Purple Ohms, Strawberrys, Lightenings or MicroDots - take your pick - all good acid.. !!!!!
remember hearing this on pirates and Steve Jackson on Kiss in 1990 - it stuck out a mile as a real landmark back then - is this the first real hardcore track? if not does anyone know what was...
Remember hearing this tune on some pirate station (20 years ago?) while trapped in a car in Hammersmith tripping my face off with a mate. Totally freaked out for about 5 seconds and then forgot it was on... As you do when tripping your face off.

@mpitre0629 Anytime mate! I too was unaware what it said for years. I just happened to listen to that song one day and it barely caught my ear. i had to rewind it like 5 times to make sure I wasn't hearing things!
i remember being in the labrynth in dalston and i was the idian chief and all the ravers were my indian followers while i was sitting on top on the speakers..mind you those jack and jills were fantastic......ahhhhhh the good old days
@iloveesr fuckin eh!! didnt realise there were any of us "up the woods and in the barn" ravers left.. well outside of the nuthouse anyway..lol. "TUNE"
2 those goin on about how many trips u took when u were 16/17 in 199woteva I guarantee most of them wer so weak they'd should hardly b called acid.It was always sed late60s acid was 3x as strong as the stuff that was out in the late80s/90s somethin that I didn't think much about as I always prefered pills anyway (&acid was a very small part of scene in 88-90) but some1 gave me sum acid about 2001 wich I was warned was proper60/early70s strength &it provd what I'd been told-no bloody comparison!
@wiffdude I'm afraid y're mistaken there-it's not just a"druggy"rumour that the strength of LSD was almost always stronger in the 60s/70s - its a medical fact just read up any academic article on it.
Much of what was passed of as acid post mid-80s(possibly post-mid70s) was not in the same category, the far fewer "acid casualties"of the last 35 years is empirical evidence of that.
That's not 2 say the occasional extremely strong batch still didnt appear as I found out 2 my cost sometime in 2000.
@ancientraver19881989 You're probably right. However, during the early nineties I took many LSD tabs with different prints on them. The strength of these was pretty uniform, except for one. I only took half but it was enough to piss lightening bolts on the black taxi cabs that were driving through that particular urinal.
@AdmiralBoom76 sounds like what i took in 2000 - the girl who got them was warned by the dealer about them being real mindblowers but I thought I knew better and took them on top of a couple of strongish pills - big big mistake
@ancientraver19881989 hmm..pills and trips, interesting effects. I remember the early hours after a rave at my mate's house with a few people we'd collected along the way, sharing trips and breaking up pills on the back of a B&H packet, got quite messy when the sun came up. My brain just can't deal with that kind of thing these days. I'm more into health food and late night weed use. LOL!
@nikski71 Bit touchy on the fact that you never took any proper acid arent we - what's even more embarrassing is that you still worry about it at 40 (oh and calling yourself Nikski that's pretty bad too)sorry if i ruined your day pal
@ancientraver19881989 you aint big enough to ruin my day but its made me laugh i suppose!!!! pull ur head from up ya arse and disappear back to the forties or wherever ur from.......pal!!???!!!
@TheRetiredspaceman apprentiship of acid takin fuckin pissing my self laughing know what you mean tho i think my one must have started about the same time as your's and guess what i passed with a grade a distinction aint there anywhere for us old space cadetts to meet up?
I'm searching for a remix of this classic done in the late 90's. It uses the vocal clip from this track for the breakdown. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
When you were in Telepathy in Stratford and the laser came down over you as this was playing, you didn't care if this was anti-drug or not, you were just rushin.
This is Original TECHNO or at least the way I was introduced to it in 91. Brings me back to Club Uranus in SF. Definitely not the kind of phone call I would want my parents to get..
Its to flip fry heads out, makes you think that you died and that your living in a dream world and what your hearing"You better come down to the station your son is dead" is what people are saying around your dead body. Pretty creepy yeah. Tripped my friend the fuck out first time he fry faced hard, started playing dead mau5 ghosts n stuff the beginning with the laughing and shit I kept telling him he was dead and started yelling while making him lay back slowly. He flipped the fuck out.
I could be wrong, but in the context of what was happening in the rave scene this was totally an anti-drug tune, akin to the Ragga Twins because we all know that hard drugs fucked the rave scene up. Raves became a gothic infected mushroom drug den instead of the positive urban funky hip-hop/house/disco feel of the original rave.
where is this sample from ?

The mix I am looking for has a sample of William Shatner saying "energize".

I'm searching for a remix of this classic done in the late 90's. It uses the vocal clip from this track for the breakdown. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

This is a double 10 inch pack. The other record is blue. The jungle remix on this pack is a bit weird but the energize remix is bomb!

Raves became a gothic infected mushroom drug den instead of the positive urban funky hip-hop/house/disco feel of the original rave.
rzbloh 1 year ago
@rzbloh i don't think its anti drugs at all.every fucker on the dance floor would be of their tits when this was on,trust me.
