I only have experience with a purebred siamese from my ex, and while I absolutely loved the looks of her, she would NOT STOP TALKING whenever you weren't watching her.
My favorites at the shelter are all siamese mixes, but I dunno if the mixes inherit the non-stop chatter too as I prefer a quieter kitty that meows only when he or she needs food or something important.
That's what we think too - I adopted him at the age of 7 months so we don't know these details. But I also read that this behavior is frequent for siameses.
@Cccrawr This is actually a trait that most flame point siameses have because they need extra time with mom. One of my cats does it, the other does not.
I have a flame point also separated from Mama too soon, a bit aloof, {as a result, we think}, but Lune-Thai, "Lune", or "Luney" is only about 4 mos. old, and much paler than your beauty.. I hope he'll develop the lovely toasty highlights your Moka has!:)
omg my kitten does the same thing but sucks his left hind paw haha wow

@DumbDuck44
I think it's a guess, one can inherit the behavior and another one not. Moka is a purebred but we almost never hear him. But he purrs very loudly !

My goodness! Our cats are the same breed and love blankets! Moka has a great purr.
Montecore827 4 years ago
Yes, a great and loud purr :) He "loves his blanket" on my bed each evening, just beside my head. It's a kind of ritual for him :)
