What do you do with the used Hard Disk? does it have any data left on it or is it formatted . I ordered my Drobo FS and was wondering what people do with the old ones after they pop them out? the reason I'm curious is because there is private information on these old disks i think. Can you let me know what you do with yours.
@DWJ202 Drobo uses proprietarded technology to let it work with different drive sizes. This is unlike any other redundant technology, including any and all RAID versions.
There may be sensitive data on the disk but it is completely inaccessible unless it were to be inserted into the same Drobo.
That said, use DBAN, CCleaner, or any other drive-wipe utility to completely and securely erase hard disks before selling them.
I sell them on eBay. I bought them on eBay on the first place
