  • what for a programm do u use dude ?

    great

  • @FileShare111 Might be, but there is an option where you can record in 1080i @ 60fps. As I see no difference in performance other than that it's interlaced, I would pick up my H12 and record 1080i every day :D

  • ahhh doggy doggy on a flip-cam nah dont let him work 2 hard that doggy

    grtz©

  • the dog is firefox...

  • it might be worth your while converting into Xvid format.

  • Dude, you have a 1080p camera and you upload to Youtube at 360p....WTF???

Please next time upload to at least to 720p so we can all see the quality of the camera

  • excuse me?do u still have this camera?is it easy t break?

  • lol Sk8board with 1 DP ...Dog Power ;) Nice Vid!

  • anyone know how i can convert the .MOV files to a more user friendly format without losing quality? Or, does anyone know of cheap video editing software that works with .MOV?

  • The Aiptek is not able to record in 1080p@60fps very few camcorders are, except Sanyo hd2000.

The recording must have been made in 720p@60fps.

  • @blue9z

    That's why, at 0:05 it says "Shot at 720p @ 60 fps."

  • Lol render fail, its not 1080p or 60fps learn how to render. whats this 360p bullshit

  • @OMG1234Stefan read his comment.

  • Mi first digital camera ever was apitek, 7 year ago, xD

  • I have a mac and I use imovie. Do you think I would be able to edit with it?

  • POOR DOG

  • damn even in 360p this looks awesome

  • this video quality is awful

  • clean dog.

  • damn the quality of this vid is sht

    use another editing program.

    Sony Vegas should work

  • the kickflip was switch right ? if not than its hella sketchy lol

  • hey i would like to know what software you used to edit the video, because im having problems with my Aiptek a-hd+

    thnx! and great video!

  • i think personally sony vegas pro 9 is the best

  • did u slow this down with an editing program? If so, could u slow a 60fps video down even further to maybe 10fps? could u upload a video of that for me please?

  • wow that's some minimalistic music

  • lol Very true

  • that's a cute dog :)

  • Omg that music gets annoying. lol

  • what format was the vid in when you slowed it down? .MOV? .WMP?

  • Comment removed

  • that's correct!

  • u r RETARDED. if the video is recorded at 60fps then it will play back in 60fps now if its slowed down to 50% normal speed then it is being played at 30fps because thats 50% of 60fps.... what you said makes ZERO sense 4EverApple1

  • wow that was exciting...

  • what is the whole name of this cam?

  • if your gonna have your dog pull you don't use a normal leash buy a harness type thing

  • hey do you recommend this camera?

and what don't you like about it

  • I got one of these cameras yesterday and I LOVE it. Plug into computer via USB and XP will just detect it and open it like any other drive. It records h.264/aac wrapped in an MOV container. You can go straight from the camera to youtube, no processing, transcoding necessary.

Dislikes: audio could be better, and no optical zoom. But for $149, it's amazing.

All the bad reviews online are from idiots who don't have a clue and expect to shoot feature films on a cheap camera.

  • thanks, helped SO much !

  • Good video :)

  • is this the AHD 300?? and if not does the AHD 300 records with 60fps?

  • nice....very nice ...i mite get this one for my B-day

    hopefully i do

  • Hey where do I get a bigger tripod for one of these? Or are all tripods the interchangeable?

  • I got mines at RadioShack.

  • that is so cool. i want this camera

  • it looks like a good hd camera but it kinda wobbles when you pan or move

  • lol because ur hands are shaky, or u have Stabilizer off

  • This camcorder does so much better outside in sunlight.

  • HD= 1280x720 25 fps

  • The camera has recorded 60 frames pr sec.

(instead of the usual 30 fprs) that is why the slowmotion is so spectacular.

  • the dxg 579v has way better quality

  • where's the watch in HD option?

  • Right bottom of the video :)

  • that's high quality not HD. if this was shot in HD how come it's not showing up.

  • because youtube can't host HD videos regardless of the quality of the original video. "high quality" is the best it offers. you'll have to go to another site for true HD video.

  • SPend the short money to get Quicktime Pro. Then you can re-encode the video to FLV (Flash Video) with more compression control. If you upload an FLV to YouTube under 100MB in size, they will not re-compress it. You can get really good quality okaying with the compression setting son your own for under 100MB.

Thanks for the post by the way, I'm contemplating getting this camera, the video was helpful.

  • I haven't tried this myself but read it in another review of this camera. The video itself is encoded in h.264 which is readable in many players and editors. The .mov is just a wrapper and can supposedly be renamed to whatever type is needed be it .avi or .mpeg4 . Let me know how it works if anyone tries this.

  • what should it be changed to for it to have the best quality video for you tube

  • I'm not sure what video format would be best for youtube. Probably anything that is accepted, as youtube will only display videos in a low resolution anyways. It just depends on what the video site you are choosing is compatible with. This only matters for site with high-res players like veoh, vimeo, etc. Hope this helped and let me know if changing the format works like i suggested.

  • kev, YT has snuck in an HD option without telling anyone. I only know because a buddy of mine found out by accident, now that's all he uploads.

  • hey well i got the camcorder and i was wondering what title you need to put on to make it hd on youtube

  • Branman1994,

I don't know, I only got the camera a couple of days ago and hae never uploaded to youtube before. you'll probably need to convert the video since youtube can't actually host HD videos, but that's just a guess. youtube might automatically lower the quality of the video as you upload it. probably read whatever directions youtube has regarding posting videos.

  • watch my little vid i uploaded using it

  • no, every container format has its own way of encoding different formats, look at mkv/mka, avi, mov, and ogg/ogv specs and they have diftrent header length, number of "tracks" etc etc.

and this is important to some codec framework.

  • Wow, with most cameras if you slow it down you see a lot of motion blur, but I don't see that with this.

  • Nice video quality. What program did you use to convert to avi?

  • this is a sik camera but barely any zoom

  • this is a great cam but the zoom is crap

  • you all need to know about the OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE, this kind of software recognises the (apple, thus iMovie does well with the video.) quicktime format.

  • These video camcorder makers need to first sit down and decide what video format they want to have so users don't have to download 100 different conversion softwares...

  • most camcorders come with compatible software for editing and converting

  • thats cool...what software did you use to edit the video..

  • Unfortunately, because the camcorder compresses the videos into .mov files, which are unrecognizable by most video editing programs, I resorted to converting it into an .avi file. Although it destroyed the quality of the picture, it gave me the option of setting the clip speed to 50% in Camtasia Studio, bringing the frame rate from 60fps to 30fps. Hope this answered your question=)

  • u need to get a codec that would help

  • Just a thought... because it's still acceptable to watch a video as slow as 12 fps (old Warner brothers cartoons were drawn at around 12 frames per second), could you change the video to encode at 15 fps and have 4x slow motion?

That would be incredible for even faster moving objects, like a train passing by, hair blowing, a somersault, etc.

  • @GVMSproject more like unreadable to old software or freeware, or PC software. MOV is a container created by Apple, so if you're a PC user you might need to download an addon for windows movie maker. I don't know but im sure windows 7 supports MOV files in windows movie maker.

  • @GVMSproject Get after effects! It can handle mov

  • @GVMSproject hi youve probably since updated but you can now use SONY VEGAS 9 which imports .mov hope this helps :)

  • @liamfather

Sony Vegas 8 does it too.

  • @TlathamXmahtalT not without a plug-in

  • @liamfather

I don't have any "non stock" plug-ins and they work with mine.

  • @TlathamXmahtalT actually were both kind of right, vegas 8.0a - 8.0c don't support .mov without a quicktime plugin but 8.0d onwards do

  • @liamfather

It says I have 8.0c, but I think that's because I have 8.0d and my serial key is recognized as an 8.0c key.

  • @GVMSproject how do you convert it into a avi file

  • @GVMSproject how do u convert it?

  • @TheNWAGamingNation alot of people dont know this but the video is just a h.264 codec wraped in a mov file, so all you really have to do is rename the file to an avi.

For example if you file is 123*mov just rename it 123*avi and it will work

  • @GVMSproject Just a tip. A program by Cyberlink called PowerDirector 9 has the ability to do a whole lot with slow motion, and it can recognize almost ANY file out there. You can see what i can do with the program by watching one of my videos *im not trying to spam*. The coolest thing about the software is that it cost around $80! Just sayin....
