Interesting parody on modern action movie violence. The violence here is not like the surrealistic "looney" slapstick violence of the old days. The irony here is that in having cartoon slapstick stars lampoon action movie violence they've shown how such movie violence is surrealistic in its own way. Yet the last sight gag in the Road Runner segment is classic Chuck Jones violence(with a tip of the hat to Tex Avery! Jones often spoke highly of Avery's work.)

I was actually shocked when bugs hit Sam, didn't see it comming. I like how they're practically flipping off the censors by making the series TV-PG and having classic 60s violence. It was still pretty weird seeing this. I like the new series, it's like a looney toons sitcom in the sense that it uses a bit more mature themes (dating, allusions to sex, mentions of death, etc.).

I definitely don't agree it is funnier than the classic Looney Tunes. But once you realize it is a different show, it's a good show for the most part.
