  • How sweet

  • they clearly didn't love it, if you can't comprehend that then maybe you shouldn't have pet rats.

  • For the record, I can guarantee you 100% that they DON'T enjoy it

  • I let my rat swim in the tub and I don't force her she chooses too. Rats are awesome pets.

  • I wish my girls would do this! also :26 look at those huge guns!!!! i don't even have a ticket lol

  • @kmepog oh they're so cute on the floatie! :D

  • and where do you get these rats from

  • @Ongarukat Oh lol

What birds of prey are classified as "raptors" anyways?

  • @TheAndroid219 All of them.

  • @Linamuc I agree. But raptors? Are we cavemen in dinosaur ages?

  • @TheAndroid219 "Raptors" as in birds of prey. Not velocirapters. :P

  • Hes good at swimming!

  • Cute little swimming critters!

  • some rats like swimming, some don't. this rat seemed to have mixed feelings about that, liked it, but was also a bit afraid, thats why she tried to get rescued.

but: taking rats outside is not very smart... sunlight is very harmful to a rat's eyes, it can cause blindness and other irresversible damages.

remember that rats are normally active at twilight.

Other reasons why they shouldn't be taken outdoors: raptors could take them, they might get parasites, etc.

  • @Linamuc ROFL "raptors could take them' (jk I know what you mean)

  • the rat did not want to swim he swam to you hopeing you get him out

  • I know this is cute but i dont think the rat really wanted to swim

  • OH MY GOD THEY'RE SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Someone breathes loudly.

  • we have a pool but we dont want 2 put my rats into chlorine water, and even though rats can swim, it would be risky to let them too close to the deep end... were gonna try letting them in a baby pool :)

  • @horseyluver17 Rats are actually good swimmers, some just don't like it as much as others. There are actually video's of rats diving underwater for food, so your rats wouldnt drown or anything in the deep end, they know how to swim :P

  • If we have a very warm summer next year may be we can try that. if not the bath will have to do.

  • how are they not shitting in the pool?

  • dont put the rats in the water. let's do the rats themselves. i think they dont have fun.

  • probably really good exersise for them too....pretty cute....I want two now!

  • SO CUTE!!!!

  • if the water has chlorine that cat swallows it it can die!!!!

  • You know rats get sick from that

  • This is the only rat + water video I've seen so far not involving flushing(its cruel), but thus is soooo cute !:)

  • @Galaxymice And you would make a good target for my new gun

  • Comment removed

  • So cute! My rats love swimming when I give them a bath :) it's good excersize for one of my fatter boys lol. Just like a kid, my rats are being watched when theyre in water. I wouldn't want water in their ears or them drowning. Cute video.

  • I've owned many freaking rats and its hilarious how many people are getting mad about this, I don't care if these dislikers have had rats its obvious you guys have no idea. They can swim FOR WEEKS and thus they can swim even when we put them in the fucking water. Plus they share similar genetics to us so what our skin can tolerate so can theirs.

  • @Azutoro they share similar genetics to us? lol what do you look like?

  • @thebowlzack They do, though. That's why you can reliably test medications and cosmetics on murines (rats and mice). They also have an extremely similar organ structure and their digestive system is almost identical to ours (since rattus norvegicus' diet has always mirrored the human diet). We share 98% of our genes with great apes, and that two is responsible for the huge difference in appearance. We share a whopping 95% of our genes with rats and pigs. The moar you know!

  • also if the rat wanted to swim, they could just have putted it down and let it go into the water by itself

  • It looks like they are forcing them into the water. They obviously kept swimming back to their owners. And the description isnt really that calming either :b

  • @MusicElskerLove They weren't making them swim very far and they put them back on the floaties before they got tired. I don't think they were being mean about it.

  • @xoxoDayDreamingxoxo no but if a rat is not intentionally, by itself, going into the water, then the water to the ears can do really big damage, especially that kind of pool water, since when a rat steps into the water, it automatically closes it's ears, but if it is being put into the water, maybe not even wanting to, the ears are still open. And no I don't think they were doing it to be mean either but it's still kinda wrong.

  • aww how cutie <3 ^^

  • i love rats! to all the haters if u dont like it dont watch it u mother fuckers

  • very cure rats! I love them. Had many the past years and the 2 girls I have at the moment are amazing!

  • it hurts albino beings to be in the sun so be careful

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • rats and boobs will make my day :3

  • It's cool but i really don't think them rats had a choice in the matter..

  • why am i watching this

  • They swim so well!!!!

  • That's one strong women

  • Awwwwwww

  • i miss my rats... :( <33

  • 0:15 rat: why did you do that to me bitch?! lol

  • @teedonster2 your comment made me laugh like a dumbmotherfucker for half an hour...

  • my rats HATE water!!!!!

  • @shaggy60378 not all some love it (odd occurrence) but they don't all hate it....funny little buggers i say xD

  • @shadowmad1 true.... i really want one that likes water so i can give it baths and stuff so it doesnt smell so bad!!!

  • @JohnnyLovely2 can you distinguish between a filthy sewer rodent and a pet rat? MAN, IF YOU COULD SEE ALL THE WASTE THAT HUMANS DUMP INTO THE ENVIRONMENT... YOU TELL ME THAT'S FILTHY!!!

  • @JohnnyLovely2 cock breath

  • Animal abuse.

  • very cool

  • was tht a man or women with blue bikini top

  • I wish my rats didnt hate water...

  • well um cute but wen they come to you that means hey dum but get me out of the cold water i dont like it duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Chill out peeps. She was with her rats the whole time. Its not like she put the rat in the pool and left the rat by it self. The rat was swimming for like 10 seconds. Cute video btw.

  • TRY TU PUT THEM RATHER IN THE THING WITH SMALL AMOUNT OF WATER I KNOW WHAT I SAY AND I SAY IT TO YOU OTHERWISE THEY WILL DIE

  • NO THEY DID NOT LOVE IT YOU CANNOT PUT A NOT SWIMMING ANIMAL INTO WATER! SEE HOW THEY TURN BACK TO YOUR HANDS AS YOU PUT THEM INTO WATER!!

  • @raprapmama Rats ARE swimming animals, mine love it in the bathtub, they just swim up and down, stop for a clean then carry on! Calm down will you, they are swimming animals. Their ancestors LIVE in water... well, sewage. lol

  • any time you upload a video with animals in it to youtube, the armchair vets come in.

  • @ddrhero don't be down on folk for concern about animals. aye, these rats are happy & seem healthy. but too many verminous fuckheads think they can do anything they please to "their" pets. abusers, wheteher of animal, wife or child, want rounding up & gassing. aye, let the rats swim. it is natural behaviour. but you MUST then fry pet rats. unlike wild ones, pet rats have little or no immune system since they're bred from lab stock. NOT an "armchair vet" but a rat keeper

  • @pfalky2k you meant "Dry" right? Cause fryin rats ain't kosher. D and F are right together, easy mistake, one of them awful.

  • @ddrhero HAHAHAHAHAHA i'm dying

  • @DAJAZDJ1 Grow a brain.

  • @invaderlunardragon i have two Rats One Likes water One doesn't. The one that likes it I got some of his favorite treats and let him swim in deep water but I was beside him because if they don't want to or are scared they will try to climb up ur leg, arm or whatever is is the water but you should get them jousted to it! I'm sorry for my bad English but try it if you want all your best with you rat/s

  • Do you use some sort of training system to get them used to deep waters or just slowly let them into the water? I really want to let my rat Swim but I'm quite nervous about it

  • @Notunyx When we had our ratties, two of them used to come out with us in their own special bag. I could put the bag down on a grassy area or at a friend's house and let them explore, and they would ALWAYS come back to the bag! Do not underestimate these creatures.

  • waaa ~ que lindos nadam mas dá medo da mulher...homem? '-'

  • I dont think she likes it :/

  • drown the fucking thing and all the other mice and rats

  • @DAJAZDJ1 Hate is like a poison that you drink, and expect everyone else to die from! I know for a fact someone has deep-seeded mommy issues. Move on loser...your manhood is calling you, no-one wants you here. Crawl away like a smart little animal and die! Leave these people alone.

  • @Notunyx No u deserve to die, because u are a pus-filled sperm dumpster.

  • eww disgusting

  • @DaBluePancake I believe you have seen one too many movies. Rats are smart, trainable, cuddly, superclean, and will become your best friend for life. Way way way cleaner than ANY, AND I MEAN ANY dog anyone will ever own! Too bad ur so UNinformed, you are missing out on the best pets in the world. I cant live w/o pet rats now, they r very addictive!

  • @mdnelson2005 i come from indonesia and people there used to keep giant flying squirrel as pet they have strong bite force when i was little i was bitten on the index finger by one, from that day forward i cant bear to keep any rodent. just scares the hell outta me

  • @DaBluePancake oh thats a bummer! sorry you were so traumatized. They really are great lil pets

  • rats that you buy in pet shops arent dangerous or ill. i kissed my rats onto the mouth and im still alife :)

  • @Hairclasp Amen sister!

  • @Notunyx Your post shows how narrow minded and ignorant u are. How would you like it if I threatin to turn your beloved reptile into a fucking wallet. Your an asshole of the highest order and should have been drowned by your parents at birth.

  • my mom said rats get dimonia (i dont care how i spell it) if they swim and i am not sure do they get dimonia or not?

  • @dminter100 Well I dont know about ur spelling, but rats have owned me 4 more than 10 yrs and I have never, ever heard of that ( I have owned 30 or so). My rats take baths all the time, so you need to ask her where she heard that. I dont believe its true...but I dont know. I googled ur spelling and nothing came up.

  • @mdnelson2005 ok thanks

  • Lovely! Very cute. My rats learned their tricks faster than my dog did...very smart!

  • @Notunyx why are you in competition with this? snake eats rat.. bird eats snake... jungle ants eat any thing blah blah blah... examine yourself.. you'll probably puke

  • @chromakey84 and your point is...... (?)

  • well if you already knew you were a fucking loser why even say anything.. fagget

  • @chromakey84 what

  • i put my rats in the tub, and it scares them, they poo in the tub and try to escape. what am i doing wrong?

  • i love rats they are so awesome

  • i dont hate rats, i love them :) especially fat ones. what else do you think i feed my pet snakes and pythons?

  • @Notunyx let's watch Willard, eh? :) ooo, ooo! how about after that, we can all watch a Jurassic Park movie marathon and side with the dinosaurs! :D after all, they can't get weak or hungry! just like ur snakes! we'll let you run around and give those dinosaurs (or even lions :D) some exercise! :)

  • @ArticUnited wat?

  • @Notunyx But I bet they hate you, along with your poor boxed up "trapped in cage" snake. How great u r keeping a poor animal who hates ur guts in a glass box. I bet the snake is thinkin if only he had the chance one day to DUN KABOSH ur ass. Then he could be free like he deserves away from pathetically ignorant humans who think its cool to tap on the glass. Maybe the snake is just an extension of ur manhood!

  • did any1 notice how jacked the lady was?

  • @DAJAZDJ1 look, everyone's here to look at rats because we like them, not talk bad about them, if you hate them so much why watch this video!? If you ask me,watching videos of things you hate all day and making rude comments is sad, even if I hated rats I wouldn't go and talk about rats badly to people who like them because it's rude to them! I'm sorry about this comment and I'm sorry it's rude, but I hate when people do that, people need to let people like what they like, you have no say in wha

  • THATS WHY THERE CALLED SEWER RATS COS THATS WHERE MOST OF THE HORRIBLE FUCKING THINGS LIVE AND THEY NEED TO SWIM IN THE SEWERS

  • @DAJAZDJ1 If only u knew how pathetically UNinformed u sound. Rats r smart and superclean. U must get all ur info from B horror movies. Poor u. They dont come from sewers tard! keepin a snake in a box is cruel, poor snake,a snake doesnt want ur fucking LOVE, he wants 2 eat the arms & legs u just cut off and get the hell back to woods where SNAKES BELONG! And u talk about rats natural habitat.. r u listening to urself? To each his own.

  • thats so cool. it looked a bit like a wind up toy it was that fast, love them, entertaining to watch

  • That's amazing! I miss my ratties... next pair I get will be aquatic :)

  • @aw3s0m3p0ssum JUST WALK ROUND MY TOWN CENTRE AND U CAN GET AS MANY AS U WANT FREE THERES LOADS OF THEM

  • @DAJAZDJ1 lol! My last pair were adopted lab rats, I felt bad for them after having to do experiments on them so I brought them home with me! They were so sweet and smart, very easily trained. I have a video of them eating cheese on my profile :)

  • thumbs up for ratlovers

  • I appreciate all the comments, and all the views.... keep it up all!... to all those people who are against rats, I was sceptical until I bought some. They are incerdibly intelligent and cool and calm animals. Very cool to have them around, they will hang out with there owner and are very cute hanging out together.

  • @kmepog Definitely. Rats are by far the best small animal to own, maybe with guinea pigs second. They are cleaner than hamsters/gerbils, and they are not agressive and don't try to bite. They clean themselves constantly, more than my cat cleans itself.

  • @newtekie1 I wanted a rat when I was a kid, but my parents were disgusted by the idea. :( Maybe when I get an actual house, I'll be able to indulge. (My apt doesn't allow any pets except dogs or cats.)

  • @Ongarukat I got my first pair of rats a week ago. They were a little shy for a while, but they're turning out to be so much fun! Highly recommended if you can swing it. :)

  • All rats will swim naturally. As far as the chlorine goes, they get rinsed off after. They really actually like the water, although it may seem in this movie they are swimming to the edge, after all they are rats... they don't really know the concept of 'swimming around' to cool off :) We have had rats for years, and the QLD summer gets pretty damn hot. The dogs swim, we swim and so do our rats.

  • @kmepog I bet the rats are the only ones who get picked up and thrown into the pool though. Everyone else jumps in of their own free will, right?

  • @kmepog Aren't rats able to tread water for several days if they need to? Like during a flood.

  • @kmepog ah okay lol the chlorine was the only thing I was worried about with the ratties :) I know they can swim though

  • When you picked the rat up an advert popped up saying 'it's BBQ time!' and thought 'noooooooooooo!'

  • ahh so cute

  • Rats are really good swimmers. They often live near rivers and canals and swim in them daily to get back to thier homes.

  • Ils se débrouillent très bien

  • Do rats like swimming or not? Or is every rat diffrent?

  • @toriangel290 Every rat is different. I tried introducing water in multiple ways to both my rats & they don't like it. Even baths are a hassle.

  • @toriangel290 They are different, for example I had a rat that was terrified of large amounts of water, but her sister would swim in the bath for as long as you'd let her. That said, rats are skilled swimmers and generally speaking they are fine in water.

  • CANT YOU SEE YOUR STRESSING THE RAT?

its obvious that it doesnt like being put in a pool against its will.. desperatly trying to swim to nearest 'land'

would never do such things to my pet rats :(

  • @SuperZyntax just because you dont let your rats use their instincts and have fun swimming, doesnt mean you can start saying its wrong when its not k bye! :)

  • @SuperZyntax just shutup. they love it

  • @zgrillo2004 I agree, it's their rat, so they can abuse it if they want to.

  • @SuperZyntax uuummm no, its natural for all things to swim to the nearest land. These rats are not stressed, if they were u would see their lil eyes bulging from there sockets, and they would b in a state of panic, which they r not! If u accustom ur rats to water they actually love it. I had a naked rat that love to go diving underwater!

and all my rats will swim around in the tub..its no big deal!

  • So cute!!! :)

  • ahaha i just heard motorboat noises in my head when he was swimming.... rmmmmmmmm

  • Made on my birthday(: I feel special(: Not really.

  • awww and it seems like the rat is saying save me :D its nice 2 cool off n the water

  • Extra ! :)

  • awww bless

  • This vid is so cute

  • @aquapearl10. You are so right

  • how did u teach them how to swim i want my to learn too :P

  • @teamdelta101

They shouldn't need to be taught, it's a natural behavior for them.

  • Nice vid. I had tested an expirment in class with my mice. They were good swimmers, just like the rats, but they didn't like it tough. As soon as they were in water, the first thing they tried to do was to get the hell out of there. Your rats actually like the water, or just good swimmers ?

  • Rats are the BEST pets. I've had mice, rats and a ferret. Mice are awful to keep :( they stink, poop and pee everywhere and are no fun to hold. As fun as a ferret is, they're crazy and just don't sit still. A rat is perfect. They'll sit on your shoulder, fall asleep beside you.. Mine watched TV with me and were simply the best company.

  • @mahalogi no mice are good climbers :] my one was a good one:], she climbed a pole:DDDD

  • @morellaella Well I never said they were bad climbers : P I just stated that they were awful to keep. I personally don't like to have mice as pets, that's all. : )

  • it's even more cute when the rat is able to decide for itself when to get in and out of the water.

  • Is he cooling off or you want him to cool off ? :P

  • My mom was the same with rats, but is now a little more calm the day my persistence succeeded and she bought one for me :D. She actually started treating them the same as her dogs, only, she still had a mild fear and kept her distance. Such cute little darlings ^ ^, and so cute to see this vid with them swimming. Ratties FTW!!!

  • Do rats just KNOW how to swim?

  • @RatsLuv

    Yep.

  • My mother has this whole stereotype about rats, just like a lot of people in the world. A long time ago, I thought they were disgusting, but then I researched them and they really do not seem gross! I have seen videos, (obviously ^^) and researched them, as well as looking at peoples opinions and they are all lovely it seems. My mother still refuses to let me get a rat..... I'm 14 for everybody who wants to know.....

  • its amazing how many haters there are for one vid

  • your rat is too cute lol is kinda making me wana buy one but i dont have much luck they escape or die under sofa's (kids panicing) lol plus i have a bitchy neighbor who when to the the council and accused me of breeding like its a crime lol

  • @dajazdj1 Shut the FUCK up you stupid piece of shit. Your RETARDED. Mice are not as smart, and CERTAINLY not as clean. All the people I know love my rats, and my Guy friend even came to my house to see them. Now why don't you shut your goddamn mouth

  • Oh, they really do love it! I've always wanted my rats to have the courage to swim but even baths are too much for them :'DDD I always tell myself it's the next generation

  • You should let your rats go in the water by themself... They doesn't seem to like it very much.

  • Sweet video, those rats are loved! Not all rats like water, but these do! I miss my pet rats!

  • ajjaja si cada vez que voy a la pile llevo un par de ratitas ajjaa

  • I wish everyone would stop saying "it," she clearly says "good GIRL" in the video. Say "SHE," not "IT." Learn English.

  • @dzemergency There's a difference between having a low understanding of the English language and being ignorant.

Humans are adressed as he or she, as it is very clear to us what sex other people are ..for the most part ;P

Beloved pets are adressed this way too, but to someone who doesn't know hte sex of the animal, they adress them as 'it'. Just because they we're busy watching the rat, and not listening to the woman, doesn't mean they don't understand the language.

  • @Goannadria Animals are not objects, I am trying to point out that people should not disrespect these beautiful creatures, who have just as much soul, personality, emotion, importance etc as humans do. People have a tendency to believe humans are of greater value and "It" is one of the symptoms of that way of thinking, I think. I think "it" is a degrading word, no?

  • lol, my rat hates the water, but i give him baths :)

  • Rats are good swimmers so they will be ok i heard that they can swim for three days without stopping for a break!

  • That is not a scared rat. I tried to bathe both of mine in a sink once and I had chunks scratched out of me and they were jumping everywhere. THAT is scared.

  • rats are born swimmers. they are very good at it. stay cool n calm y'all.

  • @CupcakePiggy i've never put my rats in the water, like swimming, but would they drown if i tried to put them in ? ):

  • @CupcakePiggy my 2 males hate water I tried to give them a bath in the sink and they squeaked the whole time until I took them out

  • Poor things... They look so scared...
