Me too since i was 15 about 16 years ago when i saw it in high school's anime club in a fansub tape and made a copy for myself and had the soundtrack as well. Does this movie remind you of Avatar? this is one of the inspirations to that movie with the same mineral like Unobtanium, the same floating islands and robots.

Albuquerque and high school had such a badass anime club. And did you noticed some Laputa elements in Avatar? i grew up with Miyazaki since i saw Nausicaa as that crude heavily cut version called Warriors of the Wind when i was 4 and loved it.

This is great!! Everytime I ride a boat, I make sure to play this and look at the sky, this way I can pretend that laputa really exists!!

I love this movie....all his movies have such great stories..and background.....i think its better to draw the animation with no CGI like he does... than to do an entire movie with CGI

@RogerRabbitFan I think some of the reason we have this feeling is that we associate this feeling of authenticity with less frames per second. With CGI, the computer can draw up much more frames per second, which takes away that authentic feeling. While I agree that I like drawn animations more, I must persuade people to try to keep open minds on CGI because it's a matter of conditioning, not quality.
