This proves some people have too much money and no common sense. The "I want to be famous generation" and making a Wii controlled flying machine (that will never work) is what you think will get you there.

Just to wreck the outcome:

He is making a glider.

He may be able to control it with his arms.

It will not be flying it will be a controlled fall (see ToyStory).

It will not take off under the power of its wings.

The best outcome would be to jump off of Brighton peer.

@TheGeneralcrow Glider: basic principle of any flying machine. Controlled fall: that's what planes and birds do too: minimum flap, maximum glide (saves energy)

Flight overcoming gravity and aerodynamic friction.

Glide using gravity to overcome aerodynamic friction.

This is should be called Wii controlled glider.

Will not be powered flight until he can prove it can take off from a standing start.

Planes only glide as they come in to land.

@samvanprooijen I'm not sure the problem is going to be the speed of the motors but the sheer size needed to get a man of his size up off the ground. Look at any bird and look at the size of their wings compared to their body. Not to mention that birds have hollow bones, Humans kinda don't....
