OMG! Alan, he is handsome as always! So young! And cuuute! I love the 80's! Great vid! OMG I cannot believe how young is Alan...!!!!!!!!!!!! Love him soooo much...! You are so lucky! He hugged you! If I were you I'd give him a kiss on his sweet cheek! I adore him! OMG! Robert Smith! My cutie! Did you give him a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge hug??????????
is your name Nancy J. Price? because they have a picture of Robert Smith with the EXACT same T-Shirt on the EXACT same couch on wikipedia taken by a Nancy J. Price. Tell me, how did you get to meet all these people?
I don't know if the fotos are originals but anyway all we have the privilage to grow up in the 80's,we are proud for our generation and our music and our games and movies etc
80"s were the best, you can were a purple shirt with a green pair of pants, and be cool. those were the days. jordan, majic, bird, 80"s rock bands....andwe we had a president who could read!....some one hae a time machine.
That is great! I love your photos. I think the photo with Paul Hester is so beautiful. As are the ones with Michael Hutchence, Thompson Twins! and the King ones are cute. Oh, by the way, you met ABC, that is very cool....
Maclean Media are bringing back the HIPSWAY song with artists currently working on diff covers for it - there will be a hip/hop version, female version, and another rock version of 'Honeythief' d j m a c l e a n. c o m
..first it didnt looks really like him..and second i was seing a pic with a thumbnail size..so i just forgot about it...today i was looking for UB videos when i see this pic in full size in your video and realised that was the real Ali..Oh so great..how did you met them..do you have any more pics of them?
So cool to see the UB40 pic in this video...because a few months ago i was searching pics of UB40 in google and saw that pic in thumbail mode...and i went to open it but it gave an error message..i tried to opened because i thought that was a person similar to Ali that posted that pic in some site and gave the tags "UB40"...i never thought that was the real Ali...
Oh my god! I thought I met a few pop stars in the 80s when I worked at a club. So what gives? Dad a record producer? Work at a radio station?(And I did that too, at a local college station, and I still didn't meet that many pop stars.) Actually, I haven't given up the dream to still meet New Wave/80s Alternative Pop Stars. Most recent was Marc Almond, and had to go all the way to Leeds, England. **Shaking head** Wow!
Nope - no connections, no clout. Just confidence and chutzpah. ;-) I suppose over time I got to know some people (tour managers, people at hotels), but for the most part, I treated it like a job - even though I was in high school full-time. There's tons more info about those days on my andwhatsnext com site.
Congrats on meeting Marc after all this time! You tracked him down - and that's no small feat when we're talking about someone across the ocean...
Michael Hutchence= TWICE and JIM KERR=0 !!!?? Get to work girl!!! I still consider you extremely LUCKY!!! Michael Hutchence TWICE!!!!! WOW!!!Great picture's too! Especially with Michael in the White jacket!!
Alright what gives? I saw a lot of those bands back in the day but didnt meet any of them! You must have worked for a radio station or you had a friend of a friend.
You and the drummer from crowded house! I heard he was a great guy, I was sad to hear of his passing. I disagree with one of the previous posters about adding captions. I watched it twice in a row and got alot more the second time. I almost missed the guy from Eurythmics!
Uhhh... I recognized like 3 people. Maybe you should re-do this and add captions with the artist and band names for each picture. Also they went too fast to really see who was there, especially in large groups. Just a thought.
Oh no way! Apart from the fact that most of my pix pre-date that "artist" - I wouldn't have seen them anyhow. Maybe you're looking at Joe of the Thompson Twins? My only other thought is one of the guys from Big Audio Dynamite... but he looks nothing like either Mr Milli or Sir Vanilli.
You have quite advanced technicial skills, and I think you know what I mean. Unfortunately you gave yourself away in a couple of the shots near the end of your clip.
What a loser! Of course she couldn't have photoshopped those photos: all the different angles, shadows and resolutions would make it virtually impossible. My brother works on a magazine so I know how difficult airbrushing etc can be. p.s. to the girl in the photos: I am v. v. jealous that you got to meet Michael Hutchence TWICE!
I think that is so cool, you met some of my most favorite singers of the 80's and got to take a photo with them too! You met Go West, ABC, Thompson Twins you are so lucky!!!! excellent mememories huh! thanks for the post and good luck!
Nah.. you're way cooler.
