Oh my god! I thought I met a few pop stars in the 80s when I worked at a club. So what gives? Dad a record producer? Work at a radio station?(And I did that too, at a local college station, and I still didn't meet that many pop stars.) Actually, I haven't given up the dream to still meet New Wave/80s Alternative Pop Stars. Most recent was Marc Almond, and had to go all the way to Leeds, England. **Shaking head** Wow!

Nope - no connections, no clout. Just confidence and chutzpah. ;-) I suppose over time I got to know some people (tour managers, people at hotels), but for the most part, I treated it like a job - even though I was in high school full-time. What a loser! Of course she couldn't have photoshopped those photos: all the different angles, shadows and resolutions would make it virtually impossible. My brother works on a magazine so I know how difficult airbrushing etc can be. p.s. to the girl in the photos: I am v. v. jealous that you got to meet Michael Hutchence TWICE!
