Yes, and a lot of it (cca 10.000 tonnes). Plus, almost 2/3rd of european gold is, physically, in one of the vaults in US. One of solutions is to confiscate those assets if things become too bad for the US (something as similar as it was done 1971, when dollar was decoupled from real gold standard, after UK tried to reclaim their gold that was put in US for safekeeping). But that would probably mean war with europe or something similar...

As commander in chief, he can order all troops back to the US.
Once back home, communities, cities and states with military installations would see a sudden boon in retail sales and real estate.
I know someone who has 4 homes near a base in Florida that he purchased in the '90s. They went empty after 9/11 because when troops are deployed, they lose military and off-base housing. The spouses of young enlisted troops typically return to live with their parents.

Agriculture subsidies distort and control the farm industry, and have for decades. Energy "plans" come out of every administration. Obamacare amounts to, quite literally, a "Five Year Plan" for the healthcare industry. Fascism is the state controlling nominally private industry - and that is EXACTLY what we have in most industries now.

To my dismay there are MANY Democrats who will note vote for a Republican... but virtually no-one has a problem voting for an Independent. Ron Paul is NOT a Republican. Ron is the only talking head I've ever seen who will stop mid-sentence when it seems the other person wants to say something. He just respects other people on a level no other politician does, and for that alone, I respect him more than I do any other politician.

he's going to bring the president's salary from it's current state $400,000 a year, to $40,000 a year. that's one of the most humble propositions a president has ever made in all history. reducing his income by 10 times! absolutely nothing short of honorable, economical, and equal.
