  • good vid...helped alot..

    good quality cam

  • What colors would your Sea & sky blues palette be in mac colors?

  • i never got what was so bad about wearing blue eyeshadow?? i love the color blue and wear it all the time dont give 2 cents about what ppl say about it

  • This look is very 1970's to me...in a good way. No-'good and 1970's is not an oxymoron...haha.

  • Just fantastic!!! Emily you're really amazing!

  • I was just noticing when you put the pallet up close to the camera, you have some of the best lighting and clearest picture of all the people I watch. The color comes through so true! Love it! Thank you!

  • you are soooooo pretty <3

any makeup look woulg look gorgeouss on you :D

  • um, yeah, she likes their products....?

  • I understand your point of view, but probably 80% of the time I recommend things from the drugstore. At that rate- I get a lot of messages from people telling me i'm leaving out the high-end sector. I realize I can't please everyone, but I try. The products in this tutorial are just suggestions- you can use cheaper alternative- but I like to try and review things as I apply- so you all know what i think :)

  • Thanks for the honest response. It is true indeed, you cant please everyone -- myself included. Your unpretentious tutorials have made women unashamed to try to look pretty even on a tiny budget -- this talent is genuinely appreciated.

  • And that is the thing that I love about your vids! You make it available for everyone, sometimes drugstore and sometimes more high-end. You go girl!

  • Girl there isnt anything you are doing wrong. Which is why i said on mutalk i like your tuts they are informative. You know how to do wearable daytime office looks and them not be boring ole browns lol. Ignore the complainers and continue to do what cha do. Its a recession not everyone can afford mac and bee lucious all the time. Some ppl make me smh.

  • i think that Emily, produces tutorials, to meet everyones needs, she features, high end and drug store cosmetics, she is one of the very few gurus on utube that does this, she is not all sephora, all mac, all smashbox, all almay, all revlon, etc, etc, ya know what i mean, check out the rest of her vids, you'll see, i love her for that, she has a wide range of cosmetics, but i guess you can't please everyone...someone always has something to say...

  • @OrganicWallabee these are easily dupable theres no need to go out and buy the palette

  • Nice look

  • i wanted to know do we really need a primer before adding eyeshadows i've noticed that just by putting on a little foundation or concealer it makes my eyeshadows last just as long!!! if you could let me know i'd really appreciate it!!

  • Often foundations or concealors can crease...primers don't. If you find a concealour that doesn't crease then I dont see why you can't use that if you don't want to invest in a primer.

  • monistat anti chafing gel works well as a primer even for eyes :)

  • You dont NEED them. However, in addition to making the shadow stick and last longer, in most cases a good primer will also make your shadows appear more vibrant. Kinda getting more bang for your buck in a way. If thats something you look for.

  • You kind of sound like Mindy on Rock of Love ;]

  • Emily could you do a grey version of this?

  • super pretty..

  • I love wearing blue eyeshadow... I have blue eyes and I feel this helps make them pop more than brown shadow, which sometimes can make me look half asleep.

  • My mom has blue eyes and she'll wear a blue-gray eye shadow and her eyes pop but if it were the same exact color as her eyes the color probably wouldn't work as well~I have green eyes and I still wear green shadows b/c I'm totally obsessed with the color green!!

  • lol i have a question which i dont know if you can answer ... but what colour suits really brown eyes.. not hazel but dark brown

ive heard navy blue does but that didnt work for me

but somehow... pink really makes my eyes pop which is really weird

  • Try plum shades, they usually make brown eyes pop! :)

  • That last comment was for ShAzZrUlZ. The reply feature isn't working very well...

  • yup, totally agree.

  • Thanks Emily for this look!!..I will try!!

  • Hi Emily,

I really love this look. It looks great on you. Just a quick question? Do you think that this shade of blue would look okay on tanned skin? (i.e. Polynesian skin) I'm not as fair as you but not too dark skinned either. What do you think? Thanks in advance.

  • You are so beautiful

  • Really nice

  • You are so beautiful...the blue looks amazing...I just love you and your vids

  • Great look! You pull off the blue very well and have given me the inspiration to try it too! Thanks!

  • Love this bleu on you!!

  • omg, thanks you so much, i have wanted to wear blue since a long time and didnt know how..im diong this right away...

  • Yeah! Loreal Decrease is really good

    and cheap too!!

  • Fantastic...you look lovely in blue! I love your skin, it's insanely flawless!

    xoxoxo

    luv,

    jessie

  • i loooooooooove blue thank you

  • um...... not really......

  • She said that towards the end of the video.

  • Could you do a video on a lot of alternatives from the drugstore and higher brands for a base for eyeshadow? I would really appriciate it because i am so stuck on what to use! HELP!

  • Loreal Decrease is really good... thats what i use and its long lasting...... just my input..... :) good luck...

  • Great look thank you! Just one suggetion - it would be great if you don't skip the mascara application, it's always interesting to see (in my opinion of course)! Thanks! :)

  • Beautiful, Emily! I love it!

  • Great video! :)

I'm so looking forward to that video you will do on the new Coastal Scents stuff you got!

  • beauyful! blue loks best with brown eyes.

Your camera has a great picture. maybe you could help Lauren Luke-Panacea81 to get hers working like that she needs help.

  • sorry about the spelling must have hit the wrong button.

I ment to say:; beautiful, look

  • This is a beautiful look. Though I find having blue eyes, blue eye shadow doesn't really work well with me. It just makes everything blend instead of making the eye color pop. But I've been trying to include a little blue in neutral brown looks. It seems to work. =)

  • my daughter has blue eyes and really makes them pop with either green or teal shadow. i was always told not to apply blue shadow to blue eyes in beauty school.

  • Very true. You're never supposed to use eyeshadow colors in the same tone as your own eyes. Using the same color, just Camouflages your eyes.

  • yeah but the fact is that using colours the same tone as your original eye colour will ENHANCE your eyes. and using bright or different toned colours to your eyes will make it POP!

    :D

  • That's the opposite of what they teach in beauty school. Never apply the same color on your lid as your eye color. It will only camouflage your eyes. Ask any makeup artist.

  • ahhh well ive really learnt something new today

i never knew that... thx :D

  • blue really looks nice on you!

  • Thank you so much! could you do more video tutorials like this, but using different shades?

  • love the look =)

  • Very pretty I never knew how to pull off blue!

  • Watching you use that angled liner brush, it reminds me of the Brandon brand brush that I bought at Longs Drugs. The brush itself is labeled "Angled Concealer" but I use it as a liner brush and it is what you describe. No idea on the rest of the Brandon brushes when it comes to quality though.

  • I`ve had my eye on that pallette...thanks for the super vid, Emily!

  • love it!

  • Very pretty. Love the blue!! =) ♥

  • I loved this look Emily! I'm totally going to wear it soon!

  • love it
