That depends on how you look at it and where yu play. If you go to a lot of forums, theres always action going on. I'm in a team and we have both racing and drifting competitions every week, and when we are not competing, we are practicing. So theres always ppl playing this!

simple reason amy the settings are the same as Gt4. You have to make your tires driftable. Try using N1 or N3 tires. I usually use N3 on the front and N1 on the rear. Extra hard tires make it easier for less traction. Second, you just need to practice drifting and when to gas. The most important factor that affect the length of drift is counter steering. This I cannot help you, you need to practice the correct angle of turn and timing of turn to fully utilize a perfect drift.

Nah ah, dont mix tires! thats the biggest mistake anyone can take on drifting in GT5P. Just simply put N3's and yur off.

Why are all the cars invisable, and whats up with the driver only steering the wheel like 90 degree's in game? WTF this game looks like a epic failure....:S What the fuck is gt5 thinking

Well, the cars are transparent because the driver is not obeying the rules of the race (the people who are racing will pass through them instead of hitting them causing their race to be ruined) which is helpful. The steering wheel turns all angles, the driver is just making harsh movements and stuff like that and remember the prologue is like a test, a bit like playstation home beta wich was certainly an EPIC FAILURE! lol

And FYI, the Shit-o-tren is garbish next to the Ford GT Prototype. Race it on any race where there are corners and the CGT gets pwnd by the FGT

F2007 is boring anyway.

If we could host our own servers then finally there would be drift servers. drifting against time is fagish and pointless unless there is a need for a e-peen. drift is all about fun and fun doesn't comes in until you race AGAINST people drifting next to you.

Everytime I play online I get tossed into some random server.

I've never encountered a server where anyone except me was drifting... and there is no way I can race with my Ford GT since there aren't any Suzuka/Fuji tracks for cars of that level.

Have they fixed the crappy "connect to random servers" or the point system that won't let you use your favorite car since it have to points or the this "this car can't be used on this track" when there is no other way to play the specified car on this exact track?

No and hopefully I hope they don't until we get Private rooms. If PD didn't put limits on the points you can use then everybody would use the F2007 and the GT by Citroen which are the fastest cars in the game and racing wouldn't be fun and a there would only be a couple of choices of cars you could choose if yu wanted to win the race. We'll just have to wait for the private rooms to come (which I have a feeling will only be on the full game)

to access quick tune, right before a race (in the menu where yu see the grip of players (offline), or the screen before connecting(online)the quick tune menu its right next to the Driving Options menu

Nah but if u really want to start drifting remove all the driving aids, except for ABS, and put like n2 or n3 tires on a FR car and practice in your favorite course. (I learned better on Eiger)

I've never played Gran Turismo 5 and I know to never use abs, I drift in forza and I'm getting a PS3 this christmas, don't use abs you won't get the results you want unless your using a feint drifting technique.

ok the driving aids like ASM. you gotta turn that off. and you gotta go manual. if you arent good with manual drifting, get some practice just lapping around a course while driving manual to get used to it. and plus you to drift, you gotta be driving the the PRO physics instead of Std.

i think it doesnt accelerate right away because your revs are too low or too high because it needs to be in the right rpms depending on the speed and the gear youre in to accelerate right away, u can cure this by blancing the revs when hitting the e brake. or if youre using a powerful car try letting go of the gas when hitting the e brake then hit the gas when your about to let go of the ebrake

Look at the wheel on the game and the pedals.

If we use controllers then the pedals cannot really stay in the middle like that, but with a pedals you can control how much acceleration and gas you are using. Same with the steering.

nah man, we have no options online wat so ever. PD just puts the games online events up and u just choose watever you wanna race. no lobbies or private rooms. but we might get it through an online update
