One of the problems with the gun mount is it looks like you are pointing a loaded speargun at your dive buddies when you're not, it's the wide field of view distortion.
It took real restraint to keep from pulling the trigger on that Nashua Grouper :)

Just because we kill some living creature everyone think's we're assholes. But if the whole world took a minute to stop and think about how we treat our farmed animals, they would realize that spearfishing and hunting for your own food make much more sense..
@dutchvolvofan hey troll go back under your bridge... spearfishing is the best way to pick and eat fish... you are selective and only kill what you need... therefore no catches you dont want...
@wygram Of course the vid is going to show all the successful hits. Spearfishing on breath hold means many missed fish. You don;t hit every fish you see. Also. Spearfishing involves breath hold training, keeping fit, getting out amoungst it. This bloke got out of his boat and was hunting.....skilll. That's the hidden part of spearfishing. Have a go at it and you'll see the challenge. Sitting in a boat with a fising rod waiting for a fish to come to me I find very boring.
@caissonated also on that note its pretty boss that we take the chance of getting eatten by half a ton 6ft sharks. plus sneeking up on a fish and shooting it taking into concideration of the tide and how clear the water is makes all the difference. Mmm dont knock it till u try it :D

@wygram ou sound crazy ... spear fishing is one of the most challenging things to do. You have be able to hold your breath long enough to reach depths that most people wont even think of and shoot a spear gun and the fish aren't stupid they see you from a mile away and you have to approach each and every fish in a different way and let's not forget about the 6 to 8 ft bull sharks and tiger sharks and murky waters and rip currents!! It's not just a sport its a way of life

hey dude im gonna give you a tip, when your spearfishing, keep about ten feet off the bottom because that is a nonpredatory movement so fish will either get curious and come over to you or they wont swim away as fast and also if you shoot at a 45 degree angle, its easier to stone fish
