This was shown on Channel 4 as part of a series of comedy pilots. Something like "Packet of 3" I think, and this was absolutely brilliant at the time. May seem more weird than funny now. Must get round to watching Catterick some time and seeing how it compares!
Very weird. I love Vic and Bob but it is easy to see why it wasn't commissioned. Too zany in a fraught way and Vic gets quite annoying when he is acting in that way the whole time. Catterick is hundreds of times more refined and not reliant on Vic acting like hyper idiot who over plays every line.
I knew that was Napalm Death when they ran out of the pub!
Also I'm a tad confused by the credits, written by Jim Moir, Jim played by Vic Reeves? Why did Vic/Jim use his original name, sort of.
Still brilliant stuff, I like Catterick but this is a lot more inline with BNO, a lot more light-heartedly silly. Tis a shame it was never commissioned, I mean after the success of BNO how could this not look like a winner?
I havn`t seen this since 1992 hilarious!!! And the presidential car was not an Allegro but an Austin 1100.Thanks for posting this piece of comedy genious!!! Geordie aliens LOL
Ta for this I also laughed my ass of with this came out, I agre they should have commissioned it. Can anyone confirm this, I am I right in saying this one one of 6 contenders in a series channel 4 did once to pick the best one for commission into a series, and was the winning entry Man Behaving Badly?
I mentioned it just now on the first part - it was part of the 'Bunch Of Five' showcase on Channel 4. The other two I can remember were Dead At Thirty by Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson with a load of flatmates getting up to mischief and playing 'Ghouls and Ghosts' on a megadrive, and Blue Heaven by Frank Skinner which went on to be made into a series.
Excellent work on getting this to the masses. I watched this in 91 and have been on about it ever since. The others in the series where rubbish (whatever it was called 5 something)
How convenient that the A-Z isn't actually in alphabetical order

I noticed that in the credits too, and also with you on the utter foolishness of it not being commissioned! Silly of them.

It said the 'slow policeman' was Tommy Cockles. But Tommy Cockles was a character by Simon Day.

Is this the only thing that uses Jim's real name and credits him as playing Vic Reeves as a character?

BWAHAHA TRUEFORMS !
I watched two of the other five and nothing resembling Men Behaving Badly was among them. Wikipedia lists it as starting the following year on ITV.
