This is wonderful! Messrs. Clark and Holliday did a terrific job of illustrating the differences between Krupa's and Rich's styles. And I'm sure these guys sound equally great in other musical settings!
Very Nice !! I really enjoyed it. * Please Check out : "Bob Pettinicchi Tribute to Gene Krupa" listed on The Gene Krupa Drum solo page. I am 67 years old and have met the great Gene Krupa several times in my life. I am still playing in a big band using the Krupa style of drumming, Hope you enjoy it ! Thanks !
You guys really did a good job - I was surprised, and I enjoyed it. Made me chuckle a little too, but in a good way. That was the first recording I ever heard of Buddy or Gene about 24 years ago (many many more after that), but I've never seen them play it. You made it entertaining.
Oh my, these guys are fantastic. They did it sounding just like the recording Buddy and Gene made. Norman Grantz insists there is no film of this, but it probably wouldn't look much different then this. Both are amazing, I especially I admire the Gene Krupa impression, was spot on with that Radio King snare in sound and style.
OH MYGOD, REMINDS ME OF THE ALBUM...LOVE IT...SOUNDS EXACTLY THE SAME...INCREDABLE JOB GUYS! WOW!

Too rehearsed. Good drummers, quality percussionists but no one can reproduce the rawness of Gene Krupa's style. IMO

Pretty good! I liked the ending. Never as good as the original though.

These guys really captured the spirit of that legendary event that many of us listened to over and over again. Well done.

Great tribute piece. I enjoyed this as much as I did the original.
Also, they appear to be playing vintage or antique kits...am I right, and are they both Slingerland kits?
