  • Where can I get personal training from you?

  • Im gonna try this tonight.

  • Thanks ima start doin the now

  • Only these populair peoples never reply to comments.

I love that ^^ It shows some coolness

  • how much time it takessss

  • lol doing curls in a squat cage. good info tho

  • I'd like :

  • @nkns93 keep liking them :)

  • But if you overtrain...then cortysol isn't produced? :-? please answer..thanx

  • @Bogdyindahous it is.

  • @nomuscleasianman So..this automatically results in no progress at all if you train like bodybuilders :) right? Because they always overtrain

  • @Bogdyindahous What are you talking about, I was making a general statement, and your comment is out of context.

  • @Bogdyindahous Professional bodybuilders don't have a problem with cortisol because they are pharmaceutic ally assisted.

  • @nomuscleasianman Yeah..I get it...But in our case: Not professional bodybuilders? If you don't have certain supplements what does this result in? No progress at all, right?

  • @nomuscleasianman I correct myself very little progress..compared to powerlifting training.

  • Dear Jeff, could you please make a video, in which you show, which equipment is good and which you use, like what kind of bench or pullup station and so on! This would be awesome!

  • How many days in between workouts should I rest? Im giving myself a day or two now depending on the soreness.

  • Thank you for this Jeff, very helpful information. I've completed 8 weeks of your program, lost 20 pounds, and I am very lean. I won't lie though, I'm having trouble gaining mass although I continue to get stronger. I hope these methods help me breakthrough. Thanks again.

  • Genius

  • damn those biceps are nuggets son.. Great vid learning a lot from you. Thanks

  • Jeff mate you are a wise coach and I'm enjoying learning from you everyday. Thanks for changing lives, bless you brother.

  • how would we be able to use failure on bench press?

  • @sanelemelane ask your spotter to help you lift the weight then slowly lower it to you chest. repeat until it's impossible to control the speed on the way down (make sure your spotter is doing their job and catching the bar before it crushes your ribs!!)

  • Can't say I am with you on this. I never cared for the mental effect of going to complete failure. As long as you are progressing with your weight, reps, and/or shorter time between sets/rounds, then you will get muscle growth.

  • @sclaysdharma simply progressing with weights, reps or sets will of course give you muscle growth..but the whole point of this video is to help people MAXIMISE growth..if working to failure will give you results 10-20% quicker than there is absolutely no reason not to do it

  • Excellent point man. New thinking on failure.

  • That's What I'm F***ing Talk N About.....Thanx Jeff!!!

  • Bought A-X about a week or two ago, having fun so far. You say do 3-4 sets of each exercise. Should i employ this technique every set? Coz i think it would be very hard to do this for three sets.

  • I have a question as well, do you think there is a way to max your negative reps with traps exercises?? Back n traps my main focus right now, my question goes along with SamDaman's.

  • What do you for the nagative thing if your doing barbell bench press without a partner?

  • @Samdamanlhdc

If doing bp, go 2 failure then do the negative part of push ups. :)

  • Thumbs up!

  • YOU CANT BULD MUSCLE FAST,IT TAKES TIME

  • You "Jeff Cavaliere's " You're the Best athlete's Trainer in U tube , loves the Work out Results & Great Routine Exercise Programs - 2 thumbs all the way up - excellent tips - very much Appreciated Cheers! to you... Love you & God Bless! - Thank You!! :)

  • I took this advice. It really works. Was in real pain after but their has been significant growth.

  • @abuladula most definitely. I applied thee concepts(so far) to an ab/core workout. It's genius. My ab routine wasn't even bothering me anymore, even with trying different workouts. I can actually TELL I'll be sore tomorrow morning.

  • I'd buy your program simply to support your furthered conquests. Right now, I am POOR, and thats the only reason I follow your youtube instead of getting more in depth in your programs. I'm 140 lbs trying to get to 150 on just lean muscle, with no suppliments. You're videos will be followed closely lol.

  • this is possibly one of your best vids, and what sets you apart from other work out programs. You're not jsut finding different ways to work out, like most trainers. You actually take the time to break down the mechanics of the workout itself. I've never heard insight from other people into the most basic concepts of a workout. Things like this will take any exercise, and make it that much better. if you can do more of these, on various muscle groups, awesome =D

  • completly agree!!!!!!!!!!

  • That`s awesome! It seems to be very effective.

    I`ll try this technique tonight.

  • you're absolutely a genius... great technique

  • great job. I've never really worked out the negative due to ignorance but ima try it out till failure. preciate the knowledge.

  • Well demonstrated an explained!! Keep em commin!! :D

  • Great info!!

  • Mike mentzer's Heavy Duty program (developed nearly 30-40 yrs ago with the help of arthur jones) first illustrated reps to failure, and about 2 days of rest in between for maximum results... i love jeffs vids, but i love seeing credit be given to its rightful owner more

  • @Eagle2410 Dude... When did Jeff say he invented training till failure?

Also, I believe Mentzer recommended doing one actual work set.

    Get your facts straight.

  • should the last rep in each set for the program (usually recommended 12th) be the one that hits negative muscle failure?

  • this = awesome advice... never stop pooping knowledge nuggets cav.

  • I trained to fail my muscle by bicep curls and push up. Felt the muscle stiffen up so much that my muscle was in pain and couldn't move arms for three days until I started taking medication to relax muscles. could I have done anything wrong or is this normal?

  • Great vid. Question: How do I get myself up on the Wall-of-Fame!? I've been working hard over the last month or so (school teacher, Summer Break, etc.), and I've incorporated many of the Athlean-X nutritional/training principles and practices into my usual fitness regimen. I've taken to the discipline (to some extent) of a boxer, and dedicated many hours per week to get into "boxing" shape. Let me know! :) !

  • BRILLIANT! I HAVE NEVER EVER THOUGHT OF THIS. GOOD STUFF JEFF. YOU ARE ONE SMART TRAINER! THANK YOU FOR THIS!

  • The answer was staring me right in the face, and I didn't even see it... good job Jeff!

  • Jeff, I have a question that I hope you can address. I have purchased yout AX. Great so far. Do you train to failure every set? Say you perform 3 set of 10 curls.. If you train to complete failure. how the heck can u do 2 more sets within a min or 2 or rest?

  • @UclaChris1 I know what your talking about. The best thing you can do is just lower the wieght the next set so you but still train to failure for that set. For expamle 3 sets of 10 reps. Set 1 you curl 100 pounds and fail on rep 10, the second you only use 85 training to failure at the 10 rep, and for the third set you only use 70 pounds. Essentialy lower the weight each rep

  • for 52Cardsco: I don't know how old/young or fat/skinny you are but Chicks aren't gonna want to bang you just because of your abs. Pretend you are naturally that way and hang casual. You know how some people can get a new 'whateva'? Bragging turns me off and just wait for them to settle down which usually takes a month. Be like that about your physique. Allow other people time to praise your work with out saying too much about yourself in ADvance. W/O takes 3 times the effort of what shows.

  • dam your biceps are bad ass man i want them give me them lol

  • I'm #837 of thumbs up

  • Excellent job jeff!! I love it! I can't wait to hit the gym and do negative reps! Oh BTW.. I did the bulletproof ab wheel workout! And almost died!!! I love it! I'm gonna master it so the chicks in the gym are gonna wanna bang me!! Thanks n keep it coming!!!

  • JUST BOUGHT ATHLEAN X !

  • When i have this system ill be looking like jeff.

  • No. He's incorrect.

  • Hey Jeff, when is the TNTBack workout going to be available?

  • Press 7 over and over. ^^

  • @christivie121 lool not funny -_-

  • @magnet270497 Cool bro

  • @christivie121 cool

  • Jeff, I have a question on #129 on your Complete X-ercise Menu. You state a rest period of 1 minute. In week 3, Tuesday, do I rest 1 minute between the 5 reps of #129? Or do I knock out the 5 reps in a row, then rest 1 minute before moving on to #126, knock out those 5 reps, then move on to #127, and so on? Thanks!

  • He makes failing sound like a good thing.

Mom, I'm going to do bad in school >=D

  • Does creatine and glutamine stunt groth

  • Good tips ima start doing negatives in jus about every workout now

  • Great video I agree 100% Thanks

  • Do you have asthma

  • Супер!

Если бы знал, как заказать из Украины - давно бы уже изучал!

    Но!

    Джеф, ты крут!

  • LOL I train to failure by watching this vid, I watch it & yet fail to do the workout...

  • Love Your Intro! Rocks!

  • hi jeff what do u think of mutant mass?

  • Hi, if I was going to do a full body work out in one day, what order would you suggest I work my muscles? shoulders, chest, back bi,tri for example?

  • This is a good video. You just explained something I have been looking for. (( Is there a better way 2 train 2 failure.)) Brother keep up the good work! God bless!

  • This guy is amazing

  • Jeff, I have a question for you, you cover eccentric and concentric strength in terms of muscle building, but is there any room for isometric strength? Is there a way to incorporate that for at least one set for maximizing muscle growth?

  • I just joined the program, I'm going out of town for a few days but ill start it up next Monday an let everyone know what I think of it. It seems worth the money, I'll post some feedback soon.

  • @Kgeron999 lol don't be jelous jut because his body is better than you're

  • @Kgeron999 lol don't be jelous jut because his body is better than you're a

  • Jeff you are a god damn fitness genius

  • Great stuff, video is what I love to see for motivation! Would be cool to also work out with people in the same geographic location and not sure if that was an option on the program?

  • dude, put a shirt on. No need to show your goods.

  • damn your biceps are huge man

  • yeeh pretty sick

  • Thanks Jeff for this!

  • Awesome work

  • Good video bro.

  • not saying your arent a smart guy, but it seems like you've been the same size since forever ago!!

  • @spegedie6 why would he need to be any bigger? he probably at this point is just manetaining his look. and anyways.. a normal weightlifter only gains like.. 5-10 lbs of muscle a year

  • Great stuff, Jeff! I'm learning a lot of easy to implement options for burning fat and building muscle in a time frame that is more conducive to saving more exercising hours in the week.

  • Thanks Jeff!!! Great stuff !!!!

  • Gray hair

  • i start athlean x today. I used to be over weight, lost it. Still had remaining skin + body wasnt what I wanted to look like even after a year of resistance training (after i lost the weight) so now im doing athleanx

  • Another great vid! You da man Jeff!!

  • How can I apply this tip for a bench press? Should I switch to push-ups?

  • Jeff i can see that you are getting bigger, your bi's look like they have from your earlier video's, just shows even you are getting more and more lean

  • Thank You Jeff! Because of your first bicep video, my biceps have been bigger than ever

  • The best trainer ever PERIOD.

  • thanks for the tips....awesome vid

  • jeff i just recently became a part of the x team.. with that said i used to do p90x and im used to working along with the vids.. is there a way i can access this same thing with your system.

  • @sawdog1008 ya u can

  • I learn something awesome from you in each of these videos man. Love it. Keep it up.

  • I'm definitely giving this slow negative movement a go for a new workout regime. I'm also reading a book right now, based on HIT that also tells you that negative failures are more important than the positive.

  • good video, thanks for the info.

  • Jeff I have carpal tunnell so my doctor recommends that i not work with weights, so my question is how can i gain muscle mass, in my arms, chest and back without lifting weights? Will the athlean x bands work for me? If so then i will buy the program.

  • kay

  • Good stuff very informative!!!

  • Dude, you are of a naturally skinny build, like me, but your biceps are like freaking globes on your arms!

I hope I can get my biceps as good as that someday.

  • This is genius!!! Thanks so much Jeff, you always have the interesting info and tips that no one else would think of, you're the best.

  • Really appreciate all the tips. I have been using the focus on the neg for biceps for months and it's definitely made them bigger.

  • beastmode

  • fake tan on face?

  • good tips and your instructions are spot on!

  • Hi Jeff! This is an intresting theory, but if the things you say in this video is so important why dont you have it in your 90 days training system? And in some exercises I think it can be hard to make it to negative failure. Is it so important to get double failure? Have a great day!

  • @finndahl It actually IS in the program. It's written within the rules of the system for each phase. I think your mistake is looking at it as "double failure". There's only one MUSCLE FAILURE, and that is taking your muscle to COMPLETE fatigue on that given set using a weight that gets you there in the specified rep range. It's the stimulus needed to demand change by a body that loves nothing more than to stay the same ( due to homeostasis). I'll address this more on the blog on the site!

  • Great tip. Have been going slow on negative for years but not the way you showed to failure, thanks.

  • there is no such thing called failure....you can..keep decreasing your weight when exercising....till there is flood of blood in you veins.....suppose your working ur arms...u can keep dropping weights...until you reach the point of just swing your hand....relying on its own weight !!

  • @chilleverest Failure: An act or instance of failing, or proving unsuccessful; lack of success.

  • what about the legs???

  • Hey Jeff, I want to order the AthLEAN Elast-X: ClassiX "X" Band but the site says that you're out of stock. Any idea when you'll have them? You ship to Canada, right? Love the AthleanX programme. On week 4 now and def seeing the results. Having the rights bands will be better than using the ones at the gym. Thanks.

  • Hey Jeff- i've been wondering for a while now... how long should you give muscles to repair and recover before working them again... im a newbie and trying to avoid over training!.... PLEASE ADVICE

  • @crazytha2 if u do bicep once a week u will av oid this easily. as long as u arnt doing the same muscle everyday u will be ok if u wanna do arms 2 times a week do it monday friday and ur still ok

  • @jizzems79 thanks for the help, much appreciated

  • @crazytha2 at least 48 hours, all depends on your diet ...

  • @TheMyMilek advice appreciated

  • @crazytha2 48 hours

  • @demonaca123 thanks for the help

  • @crazytha2

It depends how fit you are, how old you are, how long you have been bodybuilding and how well you eat.

Give me your rough stats and I can give you a good idea.

  • @crazytha2 at least a FULL day.

  • @crazytha2 about 5-7 days

  • @crazytha2 Rest is almost more important than the workout. You want to get the next workout in just before that next workout would make you sore (at least). So lets say if you take a week off your chest and you come back and do that same chest workout, and your sore the next day, you've waited too long. Had you only waited 5 days you may not have been sore. Rule of thumb: exercise each muscle group once a week.

  • @crazytha2 If you really work hard you'll feel it the next day, I don't take any supplements and it takes me about two days till the muscle soreness disappears and I can train again. In my opinion you should adapt your workouts to your body because others that are genetically gifted or take creatine and other shit recover alot faster.

  • @printisoric definitely think you've given me the best answer out of all the responses. thanks alot. i can definitely relate that to what i have personal experienced, so its much easier to understand. thumbs up!

  • @crazytha2 you shouldgive your muscles a good 48 hours of rest after working out... this all depends though on how hard you worked out.. one rule of thumb is never to workout a muscle that is still remotely sore from previous workouts, if it hurts it means it is still ripped tisue and hasnt yet repaired. but i workout the a muscle once a week everyweek sometimes twice (abs is about 3-4 x's a week ) but thats cuz you should balance your body out by doing close to everymuscle in one week.

  • @PROUDxXxHermanite01 thanks alot for the help.... i genuinely appreciate all the help :-)

  • @crazytha2 np, i love tlking bout fitness !

  • @crazytha2 Wanting to know this also, complete 'newbie' myself :-)

  • dude your biceps are insane

  • any tips on building explosive strength for a football/rugby player?

  • Jeff- I have to say that everything you say make sense!. Thank You for inspiring me to workout again. so far I dropped 25 lbs. and im back to my fighting weight. from 252 lbs to 224 lbs. and feeling great. Thank you once again, and keep it coming.

  • The 1 dislike who cant do a pull up =/ lawl

  • man i love your videos but 1 question can you tell me you weight?

    thanks :)

  • WOW!! Great video Jeff! You're unbelievable

  • How would you best do this for legs?

  • These new Ideas really blow my mind I love what you do great job.I would like to know if Black Power which i'm using as a preworkout is good stuff or not.

  • Hi Jeff...what do you think about this...I am an Ectomorph HARD GAINER with an extremely fast metabolism and sensitive nervous system, and I have been reading that for guys like me should ONLY be doing FULL-BODY workouts...Only TWICE per week...and ONLY doing ONE SET to failure. I read that VOLUME training is just too much calorie burning for us and will just eat up our muscles from all the sets and reps. Thoughts on this?

  • Great video

  • Very useful. Thanks

  • Surely it can't be good to train to failure in all weight training that you do? I have a friend who suffers from deltoid fatigue which is basically because he's overworked his delts too much too often and now he needs physio to get them back on form

  • @94harris07

i dont think the "too much" part is the problem...the "too often" part is..

  • Should you work to failure in all sets, or just the last one?

  • @detakt

I think you should have a few normal warm up sets and go to true failiure on the last on. Dorian Yates did this method. Search dorian yates hit training

  • @nonikita ok thanks mate appreciate it

  • @detakt depends if your trying to build muscle or strength i believe

  • @detakt to failure !!!!

  • @detakt to failure !!!

  • @detakt all.

  • @detakt All, is better

  • Comment removed
