Incredibly good sound...and a pleasing tune. Actually, Paul's dad wasn't a violinist; he was a church organist--and a good one. Specht first studied violin with a fine teacher in Reading, PA, who had been a friend of mine. This 1930 recording was near the end of the road for Specht as, by that time, his arthritis had become debilitating in the extreme. His grave-stone is somewhat unique in that his theme song appears on it.
@gmmix Thanks for the additional information. I edited my description to indicate that Paul's father was an organist. Wikipedia claims that he was a violinist as well. Paul Specht had a great orchestra and he doesn't get the recognition he deserves.
