@jsaulgodoy becuae in short the car is basicly trying to tear it self off the dyno. it's simulating "on road conditions" and its trying to lift the front end off the ground
apparently a proper chassis / suspension setup will push the rear axle down , creating more traction with down force, but this lifts the car like you see. Basic " slapper " bars kinda work on the same principle, leaf spring wrap forces the front snubber into chassis, pulling down on the rear mount on the axle. To the best of my knowledge :P
541 is at the wheels. Assume 20% drivetrain loss, not even taking into account Mustang Dyno's always read low, I think its awesome. My dart throw would be around 700 crank HP.
To all that have posted positive comments, they are greatly appreciated. For those that did not read some of the first post's, the car runs 9.60's at 142-144mph, all day long. If you work the numbers thats about 700-725hp at the crank. With the high stall converter and HUGE tires, figure 22-25% loss, its about on par. 725hp minus 25%= 543hp. WHO CARES about HP numbers. Its at the track that really counts. Thanks again for watching the video. We hope to keep getting more positive feedback.

bad ass car but for having 541whp why have those big of tires on it? You can get traction from smaller tires as well dont need 15inch wide tires yes they look bad ass but extra weight you dont need.
have you ever picked up a slick they are really light for the size. they dont have nearly as many plies in them because your not worried about pucnture resistance at the track. you can also tell they are really thin by watching a car with them launch. they actually fold over them selves. he might be able to gat oway with narrower ones but traction wins races
Have I ever picked up a set noooo never I dont have 12 inch wide slicks on my car. And no kidding they fold over I wouldn't have guessed. Its called they wrinkle and there was a corvette in a chevy mag that was running 8.5in slick running 8 secs so the 15inch wide slicks always gets traction over smaller no.... Its called setting up the rear end so it hooks all the time and the guy was launching 6000 rpms.
i may be the only one to notice thise but the car gave off a lot of smoke off the tires at full pedel. that could have led to the ''as you say'' low numbers

Ok, to all you idiots who think 540hp on a chassis dyno is weak; Build an engine, get it flywheel dyno'd and watch your pecker get hard, slap it in a 3,000lb car, go get it chassis dyno'd and watch your pecker get soft ! It's called Parasitic Loss or (Power Train Loss) Dumbass's!
What people aren't understanding is the numbers are WHEEL HORSEPOWER. Not at the flywheel. With this set up we figure about 25% drivetrain loss with the high stall converter and the GINORMOUSE tires which puts it in the 725HP range at the flywheel. Car runs 142-144 mph in the 1/4 which is about on par with the 725 crank HP & the weight of the car. A dyno is just a tuning tool to make sure the car is fully optimized for the track. Hope that clears up a few of the questions. Thanks for watching.

541 is at the wheels. Assume 20% drivetrain loss, not even taking into account Mustang Dyno's always read low, I think its awesome. My dart throw would be around 700 crank HP.

To all that have posted positive comments, they are greatly appreciated. For those that did not read some of the first post's, the car runs 9.60's at 142-144mph, all day long. If you work the numbers thats about 700-725hp at the crank. With the high stall converter and HUGE tires, figure 22-25% loss, its about on par. 725hp minus 25%= 543hp. WHO CARES about HP numbers. Its at the track that really counts. Thanks again for watching the video. We hope to keep getting more positive feedback.

Beautiful Car, Pro Street for ever. Anyone who posts on here unimpressed by HP numbers aren't actual racers.. The times speak for itself. I would love to see some more on this car, any footage of it launching. Looks like it should leave nice and straight.

bad ass car but for having 541whp why have those big of tires on it? You can get traction from smaller tires as well dont need 15inch wide tires yes they look bad ass but extra weight you dont need.

have you ever picked up a slick they are really light for the size. they dont have nearly as many plies in them because your not worried about pucnture resistance at the track. you can also tell they are really thin by watching a car with them launch. they actually fold over them selves. he might be able to gat oway with narrower ones but traction wins races

Have I ever picked up a set noooo never I dont have 12 inch wide slicks on my car. And no kidding they fold over I wouldn't have guessed. Its called they wrinkle and there was a corvette in a chevy mag that was running 8.5in slick running 8 secs so the 15inch wide slicks always gets traction over smaller no.... Its called setting up the rear end so it hooks all the time and the guy was launching 6000 rpms.

i may be the only one to notice thise but the car gave off a lot of smoke off the tires at full pedel. that could have led to the ''as you say'' low numbers

nice car but 540 hp? seems a little weak for a drag car. my supra is making over 300 hp almost stock. youd think that it would put out a little more then 540. but of course i dont know what theyve done to the car. props though. no hate here.

The torque is probably quite a bit higher, and that's what gets the car moving.

I totally agree. it has to be wrong. there is no nedd for hoosiers that size with a meazly 540hp wheels or crank its piss weak. if it really only makes 540 then the tuner needs to be drawn and quartered.

So add 10 to 15 percent and you have about 650 - 700 ponies, not bad. My 3.3 cc nitro engine does better though ROFL...juz kiddin.

Put two 1050 cfm carbies on there, some 108 RON race fuel and see it fly, it's be pretty fun as is though. Good for 10's on the 1/4 i'd say.

What people aren't understanding is the numbers are WHEEL HORSEPOWER. Not at the flywheel. With this set up we figure about 25% drivetrain loss with the high stall converter and the GINORMOUSE tires which puts it in the 725HP range at the flywheel. Car runs 142-144 mph in the 1/4 which is about on par with the 725 crank HP & the weight of the car. A dyno is just a tuning tool to make sure the car is fully optimized for the track. Hope that clears up a few of the questions. Thanks for watching.
