@tmtonymcalpine Yes. I bought the bike with the aftermarket exhaust already on it, but I have since made the air intake flow much more freely and re-jetted the carb to 48/175. I will soon be adding a denso iridium racing spark plug, a yost performance emulsion tube and needle to the carb, and a dial-a-jet fuel system to the carb. I may also modify the vance & hines exhaust header and put a supertrapp muffler on it. Also in the works is a high performance galfer brake system and pirelli tires.
Hey I also have a buell blast and was interested in changing the lights/turn signals. I like what you did there man. How much did that cost. And I am also looking to get a v&h exhaust. you recommend that or jardine?
@Nickyd0808 Turn signals are mostly universal so you can get them anywhere really, but i got mine off of ebay. The headlight was the expensive part, if i remember correctly the turn signals were like 7 or 8 dollars per pair, so 16 bucks total. I don't have any experience with the jardine. I know i like how the vance and hines sounds, can't really comment on the others. There are buell forums with a lot of info and i know they consider the jardine slightly higher performance.
@Nickyd0808 Oh also some people make their own setup using a downpipe off of the jardine i think, and a supertrap cone shaped muffler, probably is a lot louder. I think a lot of the people who get the jardine have it repacked to make it more quiet but still higher perfomance than the factory. You'll just have to see what works for you. I personally like being loud because people notice me and don't change lanes and run me off the road.
Did u have to rejet ur bike when I put Ur exhaust
