  • Whats with laughter track man? Its like you were receiving an oscar or something.

  • For some reason, I felt that you were missing on a lot of info about stretching. You know you can take a hot shower or bath and then stretch right? Or sauna...

  • THANK YOU!! I've seen so many videos that contradicted what two other trainers have taught me. Warm up with a nice brisk walk or LIGHT jog first, complete my run, or circuit then stretch.

  • love the info...really dislike the sound effects! :/

it makes it anything but serious and it's annoying

  • stupid sound effects

  • DO you mean why i want him to be black? if that's what you emant then, i could care less, im saying why do you want him to be white?

  • listen what he says. he sure is boring like hell, but is pretty much right about that. there are many stretching techniques and most of them are wrong, misleading or even muscle damaging. be sure to choose wisely;p

  • Youtube.

    Please flag this guy.

His icons do not reflect the content of his videos.

    Totally misleading.

    Spam.

  • this guy is totally right about what he is saying.streching is normal exercies and 3 to 4 times a week not more.and like he said and like I see in your comments there is a lot of wrong informations about straching...

  • Stretchin after the work out? Are you joking?

First stretch, then warm up, then work out. You can stretch too after a work out. But don't warm up and then stretch. In this case you cool down during stretching.

And you are to stretch before the work out to get able to do the full range of motion where it is necessary.

  • Stretching can be strenuous. If you are cooling down during stretching you are probably not doing it right. This is right in that you should not stretch until you have warmed up. Here's a suggestion. Warm up with some simple exercise ie. light jogging then stretch. The next day only warm up by stretching. You will notice a HUGE difference. Your exercise after warm up, then stretching will be better and you will stretch much easier. Oh yeah and doing a five second toe touch isn't stretching.

  • Hehe, five seconds...

Well, I will try it. Go to the gym tomorrow. Hope I don't forget. Cu.

  • Cool. Just make sure you warm up to a light sweat. Then stretch and you'll notice an incredible difference. Not only will your muscles stretch much further but you will be a hell of a lot looser for your work out and your muscles with thank you the next day. Stretching is the most overlooked form of exercise today.

  • he's right, if you strectch before warm-up you can hurt yourself . I know by experience.

  • I never hurt myself by stretching except if I stretch my back.

But the last three days I did my warm up first and stretched than. I seems to be more comfortable.

  • wow ur right i used to strectch alot! because i wood always pull something in football, and i always ate bannaanas and i wood keep pulling my hamstring and then i started not streching befor football and i stopped pulling my leg

  • you talk fast! o.o

  • regarding the last studyes in my country jordan ,one of every five persons is crazy, are you Jordanian ? by the way I hear the voices also

  • omg he is helping but he talks too much.. wtf

  • David, please use lower volume for the laughter reel, it spoils the audio, makes difficult for foreign listeners understand.

  • that machine is so cool.

    never seen one before

  • i am not a certified personal trainer, so this my questionable opinion. warming up shouldnt be all that necessary before you stretch unless you just woke up.. or you are known to get tight in certain areas. its not hard to warm up so to say. it can be done with a few relaxed, repeated movements. and you gradually get into stretching.. and going further.. its about steady progression and staying in your boundaries. and then when you work out, you are less prone to cramp because the blood can flow

  • well he is kind a right no you indeed shouldn't stretch as warm up. You first warm up and then you stretch. It all depends on what he defines "warm up".

But he is training in bodybuilding or whatever other type of training gets you bulky muscles, then why make an example out of Irina Kazakova who has trained all her life to be limber and lean, he just wanted people to say wow that must hurt, so spectacular... whatever.

  • but i do split strches beor i do my splits

    is that wrong?

  • depends on what you mean be stretches as splits is a way of stretching. But if you mean those exercises such as sitting on one knee and stretching no those are good to warm up for splits.

  • but even before doing those you should warm up your body by jogging, jumping throwing everything loose. Your muscles need to be warmed up before you start stretching them. If you want a very dumb comparison it's like spaghetti if it's cold it's stiff when it's warm you can bend and stretch it easier ;)

  • ok thats good to know , thx

do u have anny tips for stomach fat burners?

    ps. i cant spell

  • he keeps on blbbing on and on and i wish he would stop!

  • wat an assssss

  • Puta cara chato !!

  • ...Does this guy knows what's he saying?...

  • c'mon,, the girl on 0.19 is a russian contortionist (snakewoman) called Irina Kazakova knowed for her flexibility!

  • that russian girl in bed,,, Killa...HA!

  • jajja no entiendo

    soy de mexico

    jajaj

  • so.. is this guy telling the truth? almost every1 i have spoken to tells me to stretch before workout or you might injure yourself.

actually there was this 1 time when i forgot to stretch before lifting weights and got a really sore muscle for a week.

and WTF is with the wierd sounds effects?

  • its normal to get a really sore muscle for a week after a vigorous workout. Your muscles develop in size (ie. get bigger) when the muscles are damaged - repaired. which is why you rest afew days to a week after working a particular muscle group.

  • umm, typical recovery time is 36 hours or 1.5 days. More athletic people recover more quickly than that.

If you hurt for a week, your doing it wrong and have caused an injury.

  • 0:19 seconds is nasty

    but cool :D

  • haha gilty

  • 0:19

  • guess why it said stand firm at the end lmao

  • people only clicked on this for the freeze frame.

    hehe, guilty as charged.

  • lol me too

  • guilty!! lol

  • same here lol

  • ha me too

  • Same xD

  • the guys talking waaaay to fast.

  • what was that noise towards the end?

  • always loved stretching before doing anything in my weight training class in high school... then again coach knew nothing about stretching...never got in a good exercise in either. football players always taking up all the equipment. haha

  • huh

  • ok..??..??

  • ii dun gett it !

  • u suck

  • nice video, at my gym we used to stretch and hold it but our coach said thats a bad way to stretch because its pulling the muscles to much so we do it fast and do multiple like instead of just sitting and touching our toes for 10 seconds we do 10 bounces touching our toes which is better because it wont pull the muscles too much... very nice video LOVE the sound effects!!

  • NO BALLISTIC BOUNCING, PLEASE!!!!

  • @ChixRule122 bouncing is terrible for joints and ligaments don't do it

  • @ChixRule122 thats no way to stretch. bouncing causes micro tears in the muscles which form tissue as it heals which will lead to you being even stiffer not more flexible. Im a rhythmic gymnast and we do long stretches and we stretch for more then an hour and a half everyday.

  • @xXxReflectingGod thats how you make muscle tho so if thats what there going for you cant call him wrong

  • @gh382 Thats no way to build muscle. Building muscle and stretching are two totally different things. Yes, micro tears in the muscle make muscles bigger, but dont do that by boucing!!!! Do that by lifting weights!!!!

  • good info but the sound effects make it annoying to watch, do it without them and it'll be much better

I still give it a 5/5 because being healthy is important :)

  • THANKS! I have it without the sound effects too... watching "Exercise Tips 1,2,3,4,5" :-)

I was just having fun... because happy and healthy goes hand in hand. :-)

  • Interesting concept... Makes sense.

  • cheesy sound effects, thats all i can say about this video...

  • I totally agree. I had fun though. :-)

  • I didn't know that, I'll take your word on this one! I'm using yoga for correcting my body posture at the end of the day. Bodybuilding can induce stress on the nervous system by compressing the spinal cord and tensing up the muscles . Also the social interactions from during the day can also stress you up quite a bit so at the end of the day I find it quite usefull to regain my natural position doing some yoga and a bit of pilates.

  • you have a good point :) but the sound effects are kinda a little tacky and take away from the video :) That's my opinion anyway

  • Very informative

  • I agree that a muscle must be warm before being streched and it's stupid to stretch before exerting yourself (for reasons such as lengthening the muscle makes it weaker) though I dont stretch directly after training because the muscles are at their shortest at this time. I stretch after a hot bath or shower and find this to be the most effective way to promote healthy and flexible muscles.

  • Great info. Love those sound effects!! I can't wait for the next one. SUBSCRIBE & SHARE!! :-)
