@Slayer0F2012 Liquid died in Metal Gear Solid. Ocelot lost his arm to Gray Fox in the same game. In order to avoid detection by the Patriots, for whom he was working, Ocelot took Liquids arm, pretending that Liquids genes were overwhelming him. In Metal Gear Solid 4, it's revealed that Ocelot took drugs and underwent hypnosis to make it seem as though Liquid was living on through the arm.

Liquid died in the first game, and Ocelot is just pretending to be controlled by him.

@anulburst How do you think they did the Count Dooku or Palpatine fights in the last few star wars movies? Both men are as old, if not older than the looks of Liquid and Snake. All they do is carefully sub out the actors for doubles, and in certain scenes where their faces are seen clearly, film the real actors for those. There's also CGI face mapping, nowdays technology can create fake faces almost as realistic as real ones, especially if your using a like base to begin with.
