Ken Shamrock decided foolishly to go back to UFC in 1999 where he spent the past decade being an MMA jobber. Shamrock had a good WWF spot as an upper mid card guy, but he decided to give it up. Shamrock was never over enough (remember WWF had guys like Rock, Austin, Foley, Undertaker, Hunter back then) or good enough as an in ring worker to be World champion. Shamrock also was a bit old and broken down for the WWF to get behind with a monster world title push during the Attitude Era.
