Hi, do you know if swapping tracks after recording is the only way to overdub? I managed to overdub in the same track (free item positioning) in Reaper but I can't make it in Ableton,
If your having latency problems when trying to record try adjusting (lowering) the buffer size in your preferences window. This might help to lessen the delay.
Good video on this subject.

Hi ridinghag,
If your having latency problems when trying to record try adjusting (lowering) the buffer size in your preferences window. This might help to lessen the delay.

@ridinghag you have to turn your latency down, which causes a dilema
1. low latency is a nice quick sound, but can crackle if its to low and cant take much fx on it, or lots of audio tracks
2 high latency is a slow lagging sound, but can run higher number of fx and more audio tracks
Conclusion:
best to turn latency down when you are recording and then when your editing and using alot of tracks or fx turn it up!
