hmmm ok but since FF12 (to me) is kinda a mixture of classic final fantasy, starwars and psyops, does that mean this show is a mixture of final fantasy, starwars and psyops, Captain Harlock with steam punk muskets...... i'm sooo confused :| lol it was just weird to see a star shaped aircraft (thats not aerodynamic at all!) do you have another way of putting it?

Oh, the AIRcraft in the show run off a kind of Phlebotinum called Claudia which allows them to hover by magnetic repulsion, rather than having to relly on regular thrust.

As as result, the fight craft and airships needn't follow any kind of aerodynamic principles. So there are big flying steampunk battleships as well as little fightplane 'vanships' and then there's a faction who control a sort of lost technollogy. They have star shaped ships because... Just because.

It's awesome though.

Yeah, it's not exactly high science fiction. The explination goes like this.

1-They have this stuff called claudia.

2-They disolve that into a liquid fluid state.

3-They pump that fluid through a circulating tube

5-This makes flying happen.

Also, yes, there are three main factions, two of which are at war for most of the series and there's a third faction which is sort of... Agressively neutral and acts as mediators and tyrants to both.

Then there's the Captain Harlock/FF crew mercenaries.

Yes, there was a reason I glazed over point 4 on that list.

Basically, it doesn't matter because 1) Battleships are awesome and 2) airships are awesomer. So when you combine the two concepts, superior awesomeness is achieved and therefore simple problems like thermodynamics, electromagnetic attraction and the laws of gravity can be handwaved aside.

Last Exile is the name of the show. I don't know if Funimation has the first couple episodes streaming on thier website or not, but it's definatly worth checking out if you find it.
