  • A beautiful piece that's new to me, and an astounding performance. I was so impressed by this piece that I looked for Paul Creston's book "Principles of Rhythm," but a paperback copy costs $150 !

  • god damn it...where is the rest of the piece???

  • Just ordered the sheet music for this, cannot wait for it to come. Such beautiful music.

  • lol is he singing the e-flats in end of mvt 1?

  • @tlchop no, that's actually how it's written. double E-flats and at pianissimo.....that's tough to do

  • @caboy951 it does not really sound like a played note here though. I do think he may actually be singing through the horn instead of playing it.

  • LOL, at 4:00. Yea man. Your high chops must really be aching by now.

  • what a funny conductor;)

  • Man, my life would be complete if I could play this piece in front of an orchestra!!!! It's an awesome piece that just is not captured with a piano, and NO piano player likes to play it.LOL

  • @matthewharris065 I'm accompanying someone in a concerto competition with this piece. I'm also playing a piano concerto in the same competition, and I think the accompaniment to this piece is more difficult than the piano concerto I'm playing!

  • @kristoferfir I'd think so as well. The problem with it is it's just the orchestral score written in two staves, NO notes were taken out, they're all there. The hardest part, or so I've heard from pianists, is deciding which notes out of the chords to play and which to omit, while making it sound good.

  • I like this guys sound and this music is amazing sounding. Very beautiful.

  • I have performed this song and it is pretty tough to keep your chops going through the entire thing. He does a great job!!!

  • @caboy951 what do you mean chops? I am still working on my English.. anyway this performance is really beautiful and what a hard piece creston!

  • @ginjiro0414 I simply mean that with the range that this piece requires, your lips (chops) get very tired about half way through. you really have to work up endurance to play this song!

  • Beautiful!
