  • Will the growth point that has been removed from the plant produce flowers and fruit it left alone?

Would it be worth it to string lateral lines to trellis those growth points?

  • Can't you start a new plant from the removed growth point ? Thanks !

  • what if you can't go higher. can u let a growth point from the bottom?

  • Good to know, thanks for sharing.. we did vertical growing for the first time last year, and are advancing into 4'x8' planter boxes this year... will use this technique!

  • And what does that do exactly, pruning the growth point?

  • @911no

pruning redirects energy instead of wasting energy on new growth you take the growth points out so the energy that was going there will now go to the fruits

which will give you fruit that more in quantity and in quality

  • Could this same application be done to all squash? Are the plant parts the same?

  • THe question is, how does the plant benifit from the pruning?

  • great video!
