  • haha, my dad, ed ward also slid across the stage that night. Im not sure if its in this video, but i was very upset to miss it

  • I was there also! Totally drenched and freezing and it was completely worth it.

  • Our family refers to this night as "The Big Wet One." Our most memorable Gaelic Storm concert!

  • I was there, that was THE hardcore!!

  • Thanks for posting this! I was 2nd or 3rd row from the front and on the side of the stage where they were sliding. :-) I was soooo sick after this from being cold and wet all afternoon, but there was NO way I was missing Storm! :-D For those of you who weren't there, this was shot at about 11pm, it had been raining all afternoon and evening, it was cold and the Summerfest grounds where this was held were virtually deserted, except this stage.

  • I was there middle left having a blast. Your right, did't noticed till the concerts were over that we were the only ones around.

  • That was a fun night. Love seeing Galeic Storm every year front row at Milwaukee Irish Fest and the night before in Wauwatosa!

  • they were in pittsburgh for St. pat's day a few years ago

  • we went to irish fest in m but it was raining in 2007 so my mom wanted to go home and we couldnt see gaelic storm

  • i was so mad when i saw this vidoe.. i'm like WE MISSED THAT!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love gaelic storm but i've never gotten to see them in concert you're so lucky!

  • Thanks so much for posting this. Can't wait 'til they come to Pittsburgh! :D

  • I saw them on Sunday and got a hug from Patrick...he's so nice!!!

  • Please tell me who is who.

  • That is hilarious. Y'know, I think this is a direct result of Patrick coming up to the Tenors at the after party of Dublin Irish Festival a couple weeks ago, asking about breath support stuff.

My god, I wish you'd been close enough to be able to tell who was sliding when. That's just great. Thanks so much for posting!

  • "HILARIOUS!!! Just to let people know a few things... Daryl was first of us to go and he is in a sleeveless vest. Then Jessie the fiddler went with someone. Then James and Matthew went. James is in black Tshirt. James went down, Matthew didn't. Hence the boos!! You can see Matthew standing after the first time. Then they put hats on us...I was wearing a Twocan hat and so looked like a Tropical bird in Levis! Matthew played the bodhran. At the end we all slid together!! Mad! James x"
  • haha! great video. I was actually behind you standing under the lights, next to the sound board. That was such a funny gig. The smallest crowd I've seen at MIF on saturday night for GS in MANY MANY years, but one of the best ones I've seen!

    Cheers!

  • looks like great fun. Fair play for enjoying the terrible weather!!!!

  • could have got better seats

  • hardly. Gaelic Storm is ALWAYS crowded like that at Milwaukee Irish Fest.

Thanks for posting! I read about the sliding in the paper and I was hoping some one would have gotten it on tape and put it on YouTube x3

  • i got front seats at milwakee irish fest

  • How early did you get there?

  • about 4hrs but i also watched other bands while i waited

  • Yeah, ok, that's the thing. I mean if you actually have stuff to do at Irish Fest, like perform, or if you just want to not sit at one stage for four hours, it's very hard getting good seats.

  • Say, if you had lovely up-front seats, why haven't you posted a video of this?
