Then the priest threw a spear at the horse and made a hollow sound, not good. But, the Greek lied even more and then the priest was devoured by a sea monster. Dumb I know, but i believe that the priest was not eaten, but Homer described it this way to express something... that happened to the priest.

Ok the movie is very inaccurate(i still liked it tho)  so in reality the Trojans didn't just hide behind their walls. At one point they were fighting for days at the Greek ships. So I think that they lasted a lot longer this way than they probably would hav if they just hid behind their walls(considering they lasted like 7 years). Besides... Zeus decides everyones fate!

Arrows are most efective when using in combination (to support) with infatry(and/or other)force,becouse in this case the enemy had to be in move,leaving his defence more open for arrows(there is a thing called war-tactics).By simply throwing arrows around you, you are not a threat to the enemy.All he needs to do is sitting behind his shield and in a save distance.Arrows have only a certain action-radius,you cant throw them miles away.And if you try your gonna run out of arrows very soon.
