One of the things I loved about her was how she was able to go up on stage in a plain brown pantsuit and still look so sexy and so powerful and compelling with her voice and passion. No jumping around half naked like what most other female performers have to do!

This is my absolute favourite AM song. It's been a while since I last saw this live version!

In the official video for this song she starts to do this hand gesture when she gets to the climax of the song, but it looks like she's trying to restrain herself, so she holds on to the railing instead. :-) I love this unrestrained version.

@ljcca So do I love the unrestrained version. She really kept it under control for her second albums tour where you still caught her from time to time wanting to shake that wrist. When we first saw her on her debut albums tour back in 95' she seemed like she was so consumed by the music when she was on stage.

Although it's breathtaking to watch her like this, it looks like she could have dislocated her wrist if she had continued with this! :-D I never actually saw her on tour but I remember seeing this vid and others from her first album many times on TV. The first time I saw her, my reaction was, wow! Can't believe it's been, what, 15, 16 years?

@ljcca She did admit later that she became more comfortable as the years went by. The video of her back in 92' in Florida on March break she seemed quite comfortable on stage as well though. ljcca are you able to make it to her upcoming concert in May?

She tends to play every year and a half or so. She may be back in Ottawa some time in the near future. We are from the Ottawa area as well and have fond memories when she use to play in Barrymores back in the day.

@AndreaHamburg31 When we first saw her in '96 we thought she was going to snap her wrist! She stopped with that gesture, so to speak, on her second album when she performed live.

@gdmccullough SO WOULD I GD!! This video clip was a bit harder to find. I just stumbled upon it by chance. I was in contact with Sony Music Canada yesterday for earlier concert recording and they were very receptive and said they would look into it for me. Whether they were just saying it to blow me off or not we will see.
