Great job. I am not sure how I feel about it though. I prefer it NOW, but I totally get why they did what they did...It is how the Doctor's life goes. But more importantly, it didn't leave *US* in our misery. It gave us hope and an interest in WHAT'S NEXT. Otherwise we might have spent the time thinking nothing else would make us happy. But I certainly love looking at it THIS WAY *now.* Well done.

great edit, a lot of people, myself included were not over the moon to see Catherine Tate acting as Lauren in the TARDIS, someone suggested alternative casting would've softened the blow and i have to agree. In fact I would happily edit out Catherine Tate (despite having seen her acting better before she had her sketch show) of Series 4 as her left field turn to suddenly want to travel with the Doctor seems unbelievable and her shouting brings down some actually good episodes (Fires of Pompeii)

That was an amazing ending re-edit. Better than the one they used because sometimes, adding comedy after a real sad moment ruins the ending. I think it did in Doomsday!

Thank you very much. I must admit, I was worried there was going to be some obvious edit at the end but it faded nicely for just that second, when a fade could've been expected, and I hardly noticed it I was so engrossed in the scene.

p.s That little second, was it from New Earth? Maybe not. Just testing my Dr Who knowledge.

Totally! I was sitting there sobbing at this as I do every time when I watch this when suddenly Catherine Tate appeared and started conversing with the Doc by saying 'What?!' an awful lot of times, which, I agree, ruined the moment. Donna is my fav companion and they could've introduced her at the beginning of the xmas special that way, like the end of series three, then time crash, then voyage of the damned. Thankfully, we have this vid now!

i cant tell what i like better, in your version is takes the doctors emotional state into consideration, but the creaters ot DW, state in DW confidential, that he is going on with his life quickly by being thrust head first into another adventure. yours is another viewpoint and maybe in Pete's world thats the way it happened.
