  • Jennifer, you're a sweetheart! I just started learning guitar in mid-April. I'm glad I found this site and your website. Thank you!

  • Barre Chords and upstrokes are intermediate

:0? Holy S**t im an expert...

  • lol no kidding.

  • it's a martin...a d18 i guess. they have a website you can check out martin guitars at

  • no its a squire by fender i have it in right-handed form

  • That guitar sounds so good

    :]

Anyone know the name of it, and if it comes in left handed? xD

  • are you joking

  • Its David's Martin D'16GT

  • If god had a name, what would it be......

This sounds very much like Joan Osbourne ;-)

  • This is a nice progression for practice bar chords. Thanks, I needed it. :-)

  • Your mom is so cute

  • that's a nice martin and it would sound a lot better if it was just miked, instead of electrified with a soundhole pu

  • Hi MOM! that's my mom.

  • REALLY?

  • Hi Bluestopsign - I love your mom :)

  • really?????????????

  • Good lesson for beginners! :) don't like the sound of the acoustic guitar that person playes though, a bit too fender stratt stylish.

  • Great! thanks for the help.

  • Good lesson

  • Fine Video!

  • She and Tim are the only blondes I respect.

  • save tonight - eagle eye cherry

  • LOL!

    Jen loves 5 star ratings!

  • I know Jen says this chord progression is in the key of Am

( 1-5#-2#-6# ) but for some reason i keep feeling that it's easier to think of it in the key of C ( 6-4-1-5) I'm only just learning music theory, so I'm no doubt missing something important, but is a chord progression always in the key of the first chord of the sequence? It just seems easier to think of this progression as a 1-4-5 with a 6 added on...

  • its not, "hi everybody", its, "Whats up good people!?!?!"

  • Absolutely! I will do my best to address you all as "good people" in the future, and coin David's phrase. Thanks for watching.

    Rock on! - Jennifer

  • these are the chords for apologize - One republic, with a capo on 1st fret for apologize tho :)

    great lesson ;)

  • you should put it in the key of Em for the beginners

  • thanks cutie

  • Can someone tell me whats a key? I know you need one to unlock the tuning locks but how can you have an a minor key when there isnt an a minor string?

  • lol

  • are you serious 0_o

  • I'm still going to give Jennifer 5 stars, even though she played a G at the end instead of a Bar G .. :P

  • i thought you were gonna play Karma police by Radiohead :(

  • its "apologise" by one nation

  • one republic ;)

  • If you use all the same chords in the same order but you use a quick down-up-down pattern you are playing I am a passenger from iggy pop! just use al open chords and change between a g and and e at the end of the progression. So: Am - F - C -G, Am - F- C - E

  • ROCK ON !

  • ROCK ON !

  • that sounds like "in this river" by black label society but its slightly different

  • just got a yamaha acoustic and have been looking for a video just like this..thanks

  • Sleshon!!!! LOL!!!!

  • Barre chords are important, and fun after those 5 years it takes to get them good lol ;D

PS: I just changed my guitar strings, and it sounds 10 times better! I recommend all to change strings if you haven't done it for years.

  • You should change the strings every 1,5-2 months if you play more than 2 hours a day.

  • you should change your strings every 6 months

  • I change my strings at least oonce a month

  • why ?

  • shes hotttttttt!!!!

  • Hey DT!

tell Me (and everyone else) about the Pickup in that guitar! I'm would like to get a pick up in mine, but i dont know where to start. Acoustic of course :D

    Rock on!!!

  • hey Viciousd

it looks like a Dean Markley ProMag Gold Acoustic Guitar Pickup

I thought Dave did a video on it once however I may be mistaken

    PT

  • You can buy an acoustic pickup! it has a chord coming out of it that goes to your amp.. Search on the guitar Center website acoustic guitar pic up.. maybe on google. you could probably buy one for 50 bucks.. or get an expensive one.

  • Thank you for the chord progression & rhythm pattern, it sounds kinda familiar. Is it a part of a more familiar song?

  • barre=vain of existence...but I will keep trying. intendo!

  • You can do it!! :D

    Great vid btw...

  • 2nd damm! ROCK ON NLG!
