I know Jen says this chord progression is in the key of Am
( 1-5#-2#-6# ) but for some reason i keep feeling that it's easier to think of it in the key of C ( 6-4-1-5) I'm only just learning music theory, so I'm no doubt missing something important, but is a chord progression always in the key of the first chord of the sequence? It just seems easier to think of this progression as a 1-4-5 with a 6 added on...
Can someone tell me whats a key? I know you need one to unlock the tuning locks but how can you have an a minor key when there isnt an a minor string?
If you use all the same chords in the same order but you use a quick down-up-down pattern you are playing I am a passenger from iggy pop! just use al open chords and change between a g and and e at the end of the progression. So: Am - F - C -G, Am - F- C - E
tell Me (and everyone else) about the Pickup in that guitar! I'm would like to get a pick up in mine, but i dont know where to start. Acoustic of course :D
You can buy an acoustic pickup! it has a chord coming out of it that goes to your amp.. Search on the guitar Center website acoustic guitar pic up.. maybe on google. you could probably buy one for 50 bucks.. or get an expensive one.

Barre chords are important, and fun after those 5 years it takes to get them good lol ;D
PS: I just changed my guitar strings, and it sounds 10 times better! I recommend all to change strings if you haven't done it for years.
sangolt88 3 years ago
You should change the strings every 1,5-2 months if you play more than 2 hours a day.
cantfindawayout 3 years ago
you should change your strings every 6 months
