You do get more better sound over the efx500, features wise its pretty close, but you can challenge it alot more. I Wish I had your Video Quality and Sound!!

The key is to record the audio directly into the camcorder using a cable, and compress the video to divx with mp3 sound (as per youtube help files) before uploading.
