I fucking hate this game. You make it all the way through and they tell you that you can't win because you didn't find the bracelet. And when you do the firefower of it sucks and doesn't work for shit against bosses, plus you have a time limit to beat a level/boss, which always runs out when you are on a roll. @DanTheManHatesYoutub ha lol if you played the first ghouls n ghosts for nes they did the exact same thing xD You had to find the shield kill the last boss and then go all the way back to the begining of the game again and do it all overagain xD. Peronally I think the original ghouls and ghosts was harder then this one.

I wouldn't say it's the hardest, but it certainly is a very difficult game to beat. (Especially since you have to run through stages 1-7 TWICE OVER before finally getting to Sardius on stage 8.)

Come to think of it, the only time I DID manage to beat this game (which was many years ago), I did it on Professional difficulty. What's really depressing about that, though, is that I've NEVER been able to beat the game ever since then! (Not even on Beginner!) X(

I found that having the super crossbow made life a lot easier, as it has homing capabilities and the bolts it fires can strike enemies almost anywhere on screen. You have to plan for it early on, like getting the crossbow in level one and getting the blue armor in either level one or the beginning of level 2, but it helps a lot.

The thing I felt most uncomfortable with during the Asutaroto/Nebiroth battle with the bracelet in tow was that you HAD to get in close to attack just to deal any decent amount of damage, else you'd never be able to beat them both before time ran out!

Ah, but still. At least Sardius isn't quite as much of a pain to beat. And the ending is nice, considering when this game was made. I dunno about you, but I find that ending music rather rewarding.
