  • This Oak could have told you a thousand stories...

  • you,re dead zwinkey

  • This video makes me have negative emotions, and I am not sure why? It is just a tree, but then it is also a beautiful 250 to 450 year (guessing, not an expert) old oak tree in a pasture. I hope there was some beneficial reason as to why it was done. Why does plant violence bother me more than violence against mammals sometimes? In Florida, USA a 3500 year old tree recently caught fire and was destroyed; the tree was in a park and arson was the suspected cause of the fire. Sarcastic AWESOME!

  • Those big oaks don't grow over night dumbass!

  • That tree has probably been on the planet longer than those fuckers... It has more right to be there... WTF they cutting it down for?!

  • Take that you fucking old tree :(

  • i would kill this fuckers

  • ¿Hacia falta cortar este magnifico árbol? Seguro que el abuelete que sale en el video tenia ganar de cargárselo desde que era pequeño. Vaya pandilla de mala gente.

  • i would of thought being a great oak, it should of had a conservation order on it surely.

  • Why ??

  • Why!?

  • Imagine the firewood!

  • What a bunch of jackasses.

Everybody's so quick to tell other people what they should and shouldn't do.

Even if wasn't rotted, it his tree to do what he want's with it.

  • i dont think u r certified humbolt cuts should b the only one used looks like rookies to me lol

  • did someone order some PIKKKEEEEYYYYYYSSSS!!!!!!

  • If you feel so upset about this tree being cut down why don't you donate to the woodland trust instead of wasting time whining on the internet. wwwDOTwoodlandtrustDOTorgDOTuk

  • Piece by piece your world will collapse.

  • At least the farmer can sell some awesome oak firewood.

  • ese arbol minimo tenia 1000 años de edad... xq no se cortan las piernas usd mismo ?

  • That looked like a Bob Villa notch.

  • Cut down of a phantastic, healthy and symmetric tree

  • @papagenoY That tree probabally produced alot of oxygen. Now it will never again.

    Sad

ITS ONLY 1 TREE, BUT IF 1,000,000 PEOPLE THINK THAT, THATS 1,000,000 TREES

  • looked heathy to me ,leave oaks alone ,cut some shit down instead

  • @jackhargreavessays Hey, Mr. Tree hugging Know-it-all DICKHEAD. If you took the time to read the description you would have found out WHY this oak tree was cut down. Here, let me copy and paste if for yourself and the other 15000 over opinionated dickheads that are too ignorant to read it themselves; 'It was rotten on the one side and leaning over a lane, so due to health and saftey it had to come down (if it had fallen on a car or someone the farmer would have been liable)'.

  • That tree would keep me nice and warm for at least two winters.

  • you just cut down a tree way way out in no where didnt look rotten to me maybe at the top but the bottom looked good a very nice tree dead now. way to go... where is the lane at? looked like grass and weeds to me. ; lol it looked nice out there now its all open... gotta put my 2 cents in though .... you dumb asses !!!!! poor farm tree was just living his life. the tree wasnt going to fall it was not rotten at the bottom. only way that tree would come down is by lightning

  • @coorslightbuddy dont be a cry baby and get a real job

  • @coorslightbuddy Well, it seems to me that this was educational but we all got your point :)

  • Ever heard of a Stihl 88? With a 3 foot long bar woulda got you alot further alot faster lol

  • idióták!

  • bande de batards,il etait tellement beau cet arbre

  • 300 year old ancient oak toppled in 10 minutes by mankind's brilliant technology. Well done.

  • camera man should have gotten closer

  • It was a pretty tree. ...sure going to make some pretty lumber.

  • 3:00 Insert your entire upper body into the face cut and make sure as many people as possible are standing in front of where the tree is going to fall. That's safe.

  • Useless fags ,such a Beautiful tree

  • bastards!

  • WHY THOSE PEOPLE CUT THAT NICE AND HEALTY TREE/??? THAT TREE HAS PROBABLY COUPLE HUNDREDS,THAT A SHAME,....

  • EpIc Fail! Im a Forester and urban Forester....... Epic Fail

  • @3:17 Why are you using a steam engine to pull?

  • Did not look to crowded by other Oaks?

    Sorry , was rotten inside.

  • As long as you remmember to plant Oaks as well, as we need more Oaks.

Did not look to crowded by other Oaks?

  • cowboy bastards

  • TY 4 posting this video!

  • Why did you pull down the tree in the first place?

  • Why wouldn't they cut all the branches off first?

  • what was da point of cuttin that tree down???

  • Comment removed

  • That's one huge trunk.

  • They should trim the branches off, hook a grapple hook to the tree, then cut it down from the bottom.

  • why?

  • The chainsaw at 0:55 is a BOSS!

  • why this it was so necessary to cut it down ?

  • I wanted to have a picnic under that tree... and propose to a special woman. Now what do I do???

  • @jeffro1234567891 really?

  • @bigcloud950 Of couse.. :)

  • @bigcloud950 What? It was a special tree. I will find another one. I guess it was getting ready to fall on the road. Not very many 300 year old trees left. I will start looking.. Oaks are hard to find btw. Extremely hard.

  • @jeffro1234567891 Have a 180 acres of nothing but Oak. Burn great for heat. Hard not to find them. Might try getting out of the city and open your eyes.

  • @ferval59 I am getting out of the city. My dad has 40 acres of oak but nothing 300 years old. Do you have any 300 year old trees? Need to borrow one for a picnic one afternoon.

  • @jeffro1234567891 wow i have a 200 year old oak in my back yard its nice

  • @bigcloud950 Omg...are you serious? Dont cut it down. It probably has some history to it. Maybe Abraham Lincoln and Charles Darwin were born under that tree and on the same day! You never know.. Old oak tress are beautiful.

  • @jeffro1234567891 it acutally does have some history near it i found an old ww2 gun near it with my metal detector :D

  • @jeffro1234567891 not really... they're everywhere... in california a 300 year oak tree probably sits next to another 300 year old oak tree and a hundred others... they're eveywhere... oaks are not rare

  • 250 years to grow... Cut down in 5 minutes.

  • Oh look it's markdelmonte123 the British dick sucking fuck boy!The kid touching brit!Just like his old man!don't it suck knowing your a child molester?you fucking kid touching fuck!

  • @markdelmonte123 you stupid ignorant fuck! You obviously are a ignorant Nigger. To make it short, read MatthewBanchero from afew comments before mine you fucking retard. Obviously your mom smocked crack you dumb fuck!

  • Is this a scene from Lord of the Rings? (jk)

  • looks fun :)

  • why did you cut down such a beautiful tree???

  • Why cut down such a beautiful oak?what a bunch of British fucks.

  • Good old british Engineering......can't beat it!

  • My mate just pushes these kind of trees over, then eats them.

    He's dead hard!!!!

  • That tree had another 200 years of life in it. Trees can maintain most of their strength with 85% of the wood rotten out of them, like a steel pipe compared to a steel rod. A tree that short and wide wouldn't have any problems with wind throw either. I think you guys just wanted to hear the thump.

  • i guess it's fun to cut down such big trees, but i hate to clearing up the mess afterwards. i prefer oaks with more logs than firewood ;) and now for those who hate tree fellings - for each felled grown up tree u can plant dozens of little ones rofl

  • hey just got my tree stump grinded down...the guy said to leave the mulch ontop for about a week and then remove it and put top soil over so i dont have a big hole in the ground...im wondering if he actually grinded the stump down all the way and he just told me not to remove the mulch chips so i dont find out he ripped me off, if so then i will question him why he would not accept my visa and only cash and never charged me tax hahaha...

  • Itz minecraft in real life!

  • @MOARPLZZZ yes because seeds of hundred-year-old trees are so damn common. Cutting down trees does more than make a tree fall you know. animals lose homes as do birds; if enough trees are cut down it affects rainfall; and we choke on poisonous CO2 gas. So yes, lets just cut down every tree we see shall we?

  • I don't understand what there is to dislike about this video. You clicked to see a tree get cut down and then saw a tree get cut down.

  • @Corncrops cus its not dead or anything, its still an amazing BIG oak

  • @Corncrops sum trees after u cut them become alive and start dancing this one didnt thats y the disslikes

  • @Corncrops Tree huggers dude...... They hate to see green trees be cut!!

  • @Corncrops Maybe its all the green freaks ?

  • a na chuj scinaja zdrowego deba??

  • dumbasses cutting down a tree thats hundreds of years, use brain if u guys have 1.

  • Why cut down such a lovely tree....tossers

  • What Rot? the tree looks in good health from the video, even when it had been cut through 90 percent it still stood, what a shame.

  • theese guys are whats known as pikeys

  • Get a saw with a bigger bar. where i live they would never allow you to cut a treee down like that.

  • holy fuck what a waste of nice oak, shoulda gotten profenshionals

  • you cut life, murder nothing else...

  • They aint got a fucking clue..! chainsaw trousers.???? ever heard of them..? I would have love to see that saw kick back and take his mates legs out.. haha wankers

  • awesome job i wanna cut one down that size

  • Cowboys!! you should be ashamed,

  • that tree would have out lasted all of us. idiot 's making decissions to cut it down the tree had more brains.

  • You retards why cut down a perfectly good tree?

  • a holes, god forbid we leave a healthy tree in the middle of a field

  • you dumb asses, you dont make furniture out of rotten wood.

  • i love the sound of a chain saw raping a big tree

  • that tree looked strong and healthy... I live around oaks, and the 'rotten' ones are hollow in the middle..this was solid and very alive...what a shame to destroy such a beautiful tree, hope you are proud of yourselves

  • where is the road lol, and i dont see the tree being rotten. you can tell when an oak is rotten, usually a big ass hole in the middle of the trunk. this tree looked young and healthy

  • Why cut down such a big tree.. if you want fire wood cut down some younger ones, not a tree that probably 3-400 years old

  • @1ownjoo2 At first I mis-interprated that comment as between 3 years and 400 years. Didn't seem very precise but I caught on fast.

  • clean cut for such a big tree no ripping in the middle cool shit man

  • TOTALY DISGUSTING it would be so mutch more intresting had he gotten kick back and choped of his leg! amateurs ,i wish it had fallen on your head! you deserve it you wankers. that is not how to take down old oak, you need to go back to school and listen to your tutors,if you do have chainsaw licence you dont deserve it.

  • That tree wasn't going anywhere! That oak would of stood 1000 more years! A tree like that don't belong to anyone it was there long before anyone owned the land and would of been if they left it alone... this world is a little bit sadder place now.

  • i would have left it on the ground.

    to use as a fort.

  • bastards! (those on charge!) we need more trees around and you cut them down...

I wouldn't take a dirty job like this at the cost of going to dwell in a forest for the rest of my life...

  • There not amateurs there british

  • I grew up on a farm and a tree like this meant aahh!! a nice place to rest in the shade!

  • Personally I would have left it, but it is ultimately the landowners right to make the decision whether or not to fall a tree on his land. I have many large trees on my land and I choose to leave them growing and in fact I plant many new trees and enjoy them, but it is NONE OF ANYONES BUSINESS what a man does to HIS own trees!

  • It was the only tree in that field. Great for shade for cows and horses. I love the smell of oak wood chips and it burns so nice in my woodstove. I plant more trees than what I cut on my land, but it takes a long time for them to get big. I wish I could go back in time, I would have chosen to not cut a few of my big ones.

  • ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This is the worst tree service I have ever seen! Guess this is what you get when you hire illegal immigrants!

  • i wish the tree collapsed and killed them. this tree is older than their great great great great great great great great grandmother. i love trees

  • @lynchi33 almost as much as u love men

  • This is so wrong...!

  • y do people watch this kinda stuff if they are going to just make stupid comments

  • it would be a lot cooler if the tree fell on them

  • skip to 4:49 for the actual fall -.-

  • Non ho parole.... mai visto lavorare così male! Incompetenti e ignoranti! Ma come cavolo lavorano questi? Non hanno idea di come si abbatte un albero! In 2 a tagliare sul tronco? 3 motoseghe? Robe da matti!

  • idiots! someone could have been killed real quick! too many mistakes to list!

  • I hope it hurt. I hope it hurt real bad. Damn trees killed my dog;'''(

  • Lots of people commenting on this tree removal without, it appears, reading the posters comments on WHY it had to come down. Read the FACTS.

    1. The tree was rotting on one side.

    2. The tree was on private/farmers land.

    3. there was a public road beside the tree.

    4. Landowner liable for prosecution in event of accident/damage/death.

I'm a tree cutter/surgeon for a major UK energy supplier. These guys were NOT amateurs but their techniques were flawed in places. The tree had to come down.

  • tree slaughter ;)

  • Wow talk about safety issues...how many time do they turn their back to notched tree...and standing in front of it while another guy is cutting ....terrible hinge wood too...no reason to put that much wood on a tree!!

  • Ignorance in action

  • So.. people get upset over trees getting cut down now? wth?

  • I am not commenting on the ethics of the removal of this tree or the ethics of the environmental movement. I am an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist. The tree had visible damage and advanced decay visible in the basal area. There are what appear to be conks or fruiting bodies from decay on the rear of the stump. I base my opinion on the image of the cross section. Given liability and litigation, I can understand why someone would want to protect themselves from the tree damaging property

  • @knotgod I'm with you on the damage, but is it really that bad to be removed. Nah. Your an Cert, Arb. b/c your a tree removal guy. The damage is so devastatingly clear to you, bet you can't even identify the tree. Either way no argument. Its in the middle of a field Leave it alone. Not going to harm anyone unless someone is walking their dog. They outta change their their path and find someone to help the tree.

  • aww, why cut down such a big beautiful tree?

  • These guys are definently amateurs. That little 441 should've never touched that tree unless you were climbing it and taking it down the right way.

  • I felt a disturbance in the force, as if a million voices cried out at one time.

  • @amurican35 wuts that from

  • @amurican35 and they all said you're an idiot! lol

  • @pbunyon2002 whoa how long did it take for you to come up with that one. Woohoohoohoo rofl ,lmao,ks. Bet your mom and dad are real proud of you , lets get little paul bunyon a new shiny axe that was born in 2002. Wow jesus hes smart. I d say hes got a chance to be validictorian of his high school class, maybe run for president some day.!

  • terrible , nothing wrong with that tree.

  • are sons of, phenomena that are happening now for these stupid actions of ambitious as all those companies that have more than enough kieren

  • Did they at least make lumber out of it? Thats alot of wood......

  • Man, they are doing everything wrong...

  • how much does this weight ?

  • 06.36 can you not see the rot healthy trees are not that colour

  • Also for all the tree hugging lilies in here, you WOULD cut that big old tree for a few reasons IF YA HAD A BRAIN. You don't and that is why you have the mindset you do. That tree has been struck by lightning at least twice and has severe rotting beginning throughout the trunk. The ground cannot sustain it in this shape much longer. Perhaps your dumb ass would like to cut it after it dies with massive dead limbs hanging there waiting for a kid to climb or any number of other dangerous things.

  • I cut oaks that size regularly here in the USA. Most are twice as tall and very few limb to the top. I gotta say when it comes to a man and his saw cutting these trees there can be only one. I would not dare cut on one while someone else is slinging a saw on the same tree. For crying out loud!

  • @pbunyon2002 good to see some fellow timber fallers commenting, i know it may look like we arent but we are. I have been studying forestry and agricultural engineering for the past 3 years at college and going on to do a further year of forestry engineering, weekends and any spare days i have i work with my cousin in the woods, felling and extracting, while also doing a lot of my own work which is manily tree surgery but do take on some felling jobs....

  • @pbunyon2002 .... (comment continued) the guy in the green trousers is my grandad who is now 74 and is a retired timber faller, straight into the woods at 16, did it most of his life along with working in the saw mills, now still working 5 or 6 days a week, cutting and selling firewood, doing a bit of felling and me and him are slowly starting to do a lot of sawmilling. The other two guys are some mates of ours who are contractors, they work side by side all day everyday felling big timber....

  • @pbunyon2002 .... (coment continued) and doing many dangerous tree jobs, they are very compentent in working side by side, not saying that i would do it, but i have seen them work on many jobs and they comunicate and know exactly what they are doing. Not having a nag at you by any means, just stating a few facts that other youtubers may find helpful :) Thanks for watching, keep up the work in the woods its a brillant way of life. I love the job.

  • absolute moron will cut down that beautiful tree..this is properly only 200 year old tree around in this dump yet they cut it down

  • Right about now at 4:50

  • This green approach has gotten carried away. Its a tree for crying out loud. Would you react this way to killing a person?

  • Sometimes a tree can be completely hollowed ten feet up, and show no rot at the base, Ive seen it many times before. There are a number of factors that could cause a tree to be taken down, insect damage, stress cracks, disease.... These guys are just trying to make a living.

  • A class looking tree in a field or whatever, cut down and destroyed. All because humans are assholes. Fuck off humans.

  • Beautiful tree a real shame.

  • At the end of the video when the men go to check on their handy work, I fail to see any "Lane" that this tree was threatening and just appears to be the corner of someone's lot. Nor do I see any "Rot" on that Opposite side of the trunk to warrant the reasons cited to harvest this tree. While I am not a "Tree-Hugger" I believe that anyone can do whatever they want to with the land they own, when you are asked for the reasons why, at least be honest about it. Also Pros take the Upper Limbs off 1st

  • @Sonny9257 at 6:20 you can hear a car passing on a roadway, I would imagine that's the lane they talk about...

  • @Sonny9257

I work for a tree service, and there's nothing that says one has to "take the upper limbs off first"--not if it's in a field. Might make some of the cleanup easier, but there's nothing that says one HAS TO.

  • very very shocking job of a clearly very healthy oak. that tree was in no way suffering from rot

  • Pikey bastards

  • what a waste

  • Quel dommage d'abattre un arbre si vieux et si beau !!!!!!

  • someone needs to get life it is just a tree....

  • would all you people bitch if it was a video of a guy cutting all his grass?

    grass is living too hahaha

  • @nag69 well gras dont need several hundreds of years to grow does it.

  • If we cut into our face cut like that, or have 2 people cuttin on a tree like that we would not be able to fall no more or get fired that was unsafe ridiculous but a noce big tree though, keep thwm warm for a while.

  • stop crying people, TREES ARE RENEWABLE!!!

  • @nag69 towny pricks hate trees they want to tarmac everything

  • @martinfretwell hey man, do you live in a house? guess what thats made of? TREES!!! would you move out of your house because it cost a few trees? i didnt think so, and furthermore the land your house is on may have even had a tree or two on it that had to be cut down, bet the people who where there before you would rather the trees and greenery than ur fucking house parked in that space. stop bitching pussy.

  • @nag69 i plant trees for a living so i know what im talking about these guys look like complete amatures probably cutting this fine oak down for fire wood ,so stop bitching you city twat, the only wood you ever grew is in your pants when you see another man.

  • @martinfretwell That...was the biggest pwn ive ever heard. hahahahahahaha rock on.

  • @martinfretwell Read the description you arrogant shit.

"was rotten on the one side and leaning over a lane, so due to health and saftey it had to come down"

How is planting trees in any way the same at cutting them down? Come back when we need to know about stepping on a shovel...

  • @Kornocopia i was about to say whats planting trees gotta do with this? to that guy
