@Frankoniation Agreed, it's sublime. The whole record is, and that's coming from someone who is a massive Fugazi fan with almost zero interest in hip hop whatsoever. And it's totally free to download, obviously: wugazi dot com
Ian is one of my biggest idles, he's played in two of my favourite hardcore punk bands. Minor Threat as a vocalist, Teen Idles as a bassist, and now, hearing this, I admire him even more. Wow. Just wow.
My parents had a grand piano at their house when I was growing up. I would sit at it for hours until I could play this song. I love this song. The solo bit towards the end kills it for me every time.
this song is the best song to just jam to. sitting on a bus, walking down the road. you can escape to this song. whenever i hear it and im out, it tugs at me. such memories of this song. My sister introduced me to this song when i first got into music and hardcore when i was like 13. just beautiful
It was soo awesome to meet Ian and Guy at the screening of Instrument at the National Gallery of Art. I have never been so starstruck, even though they were such cool guys.

When I was in high school I would walk around the campus during lunch listening to Fugazi. When this song came up I would just sit on a bench and watch all the people walk by. It was one of those moments where I would think about my life and how I should live it. I absolutely love Fugazi, Ian, and Guy. I really hope they get Fugazi back together. I would love to see them live.
@SuperUnison92 Were you able to go to the screening of Instrument in DC this past weekend? I had the chance to meet Guy, it was absolutely amazing. --Another Fugazi fan.
So my apartments are next to a very big parking lot with a Target and a Tuesday Morning and a dollar store and all that shit in it. It gets basically completely vacant around 12am or so. So sometimes I walk around being a cheesy teenager and walk a few laps to smoke a cigarette and I've got to say I can't wait until I get my iPod back so I can finally get this album on there. Soundtrack to walks alone at 4am on a school night! You know I nailed it. ;>
I dont think that this song is avaiable live, but I heard covers from different bands changes piano with the guitar...wonderfull sad song....Spoke with Ian McKay when they toured for their "MEDICINE album I think 1995...great guy and awesome gig!
Fugazi I'm so Tired Lyrics: out here i can barely see my breath surrounded by jealousy and death i can't be reached, only had one call dragged underneath, separate from you all this time i've lost my own return in spite of everything i've learned i hid my tracks, spit out all my air slipped into cracks, stripped of all my cares i'm so tired sheep are counting me no more struggle, no more energy no more patient and you can write that down it's all too crazy and i'm not sticking round
he gave a q and a thing at my college last year and he said that music is like water, record companies are like bottle water companies in that all they sell is the plastic containers, music is free like a river that companies build fences around but we have found cleaver ways to sneak in and thats a good thing. (not a direct quote, just the impression i got) cheers and thanks a lot for posting this.
Very influential band to me. Miss these guys, always caught them when they came through Chicago.

My friend showed me this song, even though i'm a big Minor Threat fan. Such a sweet song. The lyrics are amazing, was stuck in my head all day.

Freaking love this song. The out-of-tune piano just contributes to the awesomeness.

hey Musiqqqqq! I sang this song to my 7 days son in his first night at home.
He couldn't get asleep since 02:30 a.m.... then I started sing I'm So Tired and... he went asleep! And so did I after 5 minutes... :D
