@PokerPlum What cute blonde female singers? Where there that many back then? There were certainly not as many as there were in the early 00's. Shakespears Sister was massively original and ballsy, but this was at a time when pop music was pretty damn healthy. I doubt that a Shakespears Sister would get off the ground today, even if you had one member who had just quite a highly successful group and another who had proven herself a great songwriter.

I always thought you could read it as, he's been targetted by a succubusy ghost, perhaps from the 1840s due to her hairstyle, who has influenced him to take too many drugs, to neglect himself, in the hope that he'll die so he can be all the time with her. The huge moon, would symbolise the extreme yin and mystical energies around him due to him being magnetised towards an involvement with the spirit world. That's what came to me when I 1st saw it.
