I don't understand his point about Ford. Beck's point was that Stimulus was like the New Deal and that Ford was opposed to it. Keith then goes on to talk about Ford and his Nazi affiliation. How does that pertain to Stimulus being like the New Deal?
@moredoughnuts01 Beck brought it up by comparing the NRA posters to Swastika's and then saying that Ford opposed the NRA, also. It is logical to remind that listener that Ford was a Nazi sympathizer.
The republican party is a joke. I wouldn't trust any of these worthless pigs to run a fucking lemonade stand. They are children, and they act like it, thats why they got their asses handed to them last November, because a grown up finally stepped forward to take charge.
Darwinists preach an interesting supposition, (although the electric sun hypothesis has more going for it) but the Earth of 100's of millions of years ago remains unknown to Man. Similarly: the Great Pyramid at Giza cannot be replicated even with modern hydraulic equipment. Go figure. Practical/analytical/purposeful science must be given top priority. Darwin's take on Sumerian pseudo-science, though clever, has failed to evolve beyond a nuisance for serious researchers.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Just days after the nation honored the 200th anniversary of his birth, 65 historians ranked Abraham Lincoln as the nation's best president.
Former President George W. Bush, who left office last month, was ranked 36th out of the 42 men who had been chief executive by the end of 2008, according to a survey conducted by the cable channel C-SPAN.
This all begs the question.
What did six past American presidents do (or not do) to be ranked lower than George W. Bush?
Here is the bottom 10. Feel free to research them at your leisure:
James Buchanan at 42, Andrew Johnson at 41, Franklin Pierce, William Henry Harrison, Warren Harding, Millard Fillmore, George W. Bush, John Tyler, Herbert Hoover, and Rutherford B. Hayes.
Andrew Johnson was impeached. Harding's administration was filled with scandal (google Teapot Dome) and Hoover is blamed (perhaps fairly, perhaps not) for the 1929 stock market crash setting off the Great Depression.
Yes, yes Darth Servo, Faux News is so biased unlike the pristine beacon of non-biased integrity that is Keith Olbermann (who is too cowardly to bring on opposing viewpoints.)
People on the left are just soooo brilliant as you all eluuuucidate your progressive eruditions (gasp, wheeze, fart).
Me supposedly being hypocritical is the empty accusation. How typical of right-wingers. Ignore half of their own statements to try to make their talking points.
Not when the accusations against Faux are completely justified while your comments againt Olbernamm are bullshit.
All YOU can do is insult the left wing while not providing anything substantial. Bill O'reily would be proud. He nearly single handedly has turned 'liberal' into an insult. According to him and his sheep, merely slapping the word 'liberal' on something somehow automatically proves its wrong and bad.
In other words, you don't mind media bias as long as the bias leans towards your own preferred bias. Like I said; a hypcrite.
Liberal isn't an insult. Last I heard the more liberal political party currently controls the white house and has a filibuster proof Senate. So ease up on the your victim drama.
There is a difference between opposing viewpoints and intelligent viewpoints. Hence the term liberal elitist. We tend to only like intelligent debate. Unlike the party of the birthers.
Well Olbermann doesn't seem to like ANY kind of debate. But if your schtick is to claim that his intellectual cowardice is progressive elitist wisdom then that's....fine. No one wants to take you off the pseudo-intellectual perch you occupy (if only in your own mind.)
I'm not a righty and I loathe Fox News. However that doesn't mean I'm just going to blindly worship some MSNBC windbag who obviously doesn't have the courage to face off with people of opposing viewpoints.
But if you want to pretend Keith can debate people when he's clearly afraid to do so then that's fine as well. :)
Last I heard Beck and Hannity regularly bring opposing viewpoints onto their programs....unlike Keith Olbermann. But your'e right, I'm sure the reason Keith refuses to debate is because he's worried about civility. Hence his nightly "worst person of the world" lists.
The fact still remains that Beck, Hannity and O'Reilly bring opposing viewpoints onto their shows.
Certainly Olbermann should be able to do the same, afterall he is sooo truthful and such an intellectually advanced progressive stud. What does he have to be afraid of?
So now you're claiming that the reason Keith doesn't bring on opposing viewpoints is because he's just suuuch an infallible beacon of untainted truth. What a NIFTY excuse.
One might think that if the truth was really on Keith's side that he would be even more encouraged to bring on opposing viewpoints. When people avoid debates it's usually because they know they can't debate and are only talented in shoveling out empty platitudes and longwinded rants.
You're so very openminded, non-partisan and objective.
You're claiming that the reason Keith Olbermann (with his nightly worst person in the world lists) doesn't debate is because he wants to take the high road of civility...LOL!!
I absolutely believe that's the real reason...as opposed to believing that Keith deep down knows he's just shoveling out empty platitudes for partisan fools to blindly swallow; platitudes which he knows he can't back up in any debate setting.
I didn't even take issue with anything Keithy said here. I was simply making an overall criticism regarding the format of his show. I'm not the one doing nightly commentaries and political analysis on a cable news channel; that's Keith. I'm not the one doing longwinded partisan rants and then gutlessly not allowing opposing viewpoints on my show; that's Keith again. I'm also not the one making pathetic excuses in order to defend an obvious coward....that's you. :)
@thx291 Not only does Keith constantly allow opposing view points on his show but he welcomes them. Also, he is 100% admittedly biased and partisan, unlike the counter parts at Fox who claim to be Fair and Balanced and have the No Spin Zone. At least Olbermann is 100% open with his bias.
Because much of the support for the GOP comes from the idiot redneck population which is nothing but mindless sheep. Indeed, many staunch Republicans consider it a bad thing to be highly intelligent and educated.
I've always thought of Darwins theory as answering the question how, not the question who.
You can believe in evolution and believe in God.
You could even reconcile the Genesis story and evolution, after all "and the evening and the morning were the first day" doesn't necessarily mean 24 hours.
Yeah, and the bit about the talking snake, that could just be a metaphor for phylogenetic differentiation... lol, stop trying to reconcile myths with reality.
And you can also say the entire story was nothing more than an allegorical parable. The claimed age of the earth isn't the only thing wrong with the genesis story.
Light before stars created.
The moon is said to be a "light"
Plants before the sun is created (how is photosynthesis supposed to work?)
Birds created before land animals in Genesis. The fossil record shows the exact opposite)
"christian"republicans have become the laughing stalk of america and the world. their incompetence, bigotry, and ignorance are only the tip of the iceberg representing this party.
just waiting for them to tell america the ayren nation and the kkk are minorities that should be included in their "big tent". yeah, their BIG ignorant, bigoted, incompetent tent!

Indeed. It bugs the hell out of me when i see educated people spew nonsensical phrase like "more evolved". There's no such thing. It's not evolution is some destination. It's a process.

If I'm not mistaken, Darwin didn't deconvert from Christianity until later in life and I've debated many Christians who fully accept evolution.
Personally, I think evolution is the least of the Bible's problems. Let's talk about the heliocentric theory or about how the sky isn't a dome or how you can't build a tower that reaches Heaven.

Duh.....Hey Keith......Ya missed a couple.
The Immancipation Proclimation did not free ONE slave. Not one.
Lincoln was not an oponant of slavery. As Lincoln wrote to Horace Greeley on Aug. 22, 1862: "My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and it is not either to save or destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave, I would do it"
HEYBUDD: "Lincoln was not an oponant of slavery."
But he was an "opponent". Your quote only demonstrated that he valued saving the Union more than destroying the institution of slavery. You might also be confused by Lincoln's conviction that the federal government was prohibited by the Constitution from abolishing slavery in the states where it already existed.
I did read. You think "paramount" means "only". It doesn't. For the SECOND TIME, the fact that Lincoln put saving the union ABOVE freeing the slaves does NOT prove he wasn't opposed to it.
That's right, ratings make you right! So anyone who dares challenge the absolute of the majority, which four years ago supported the war, you suck! [sarcasm]

If I could save the Union without freeing any slave, I would do it"

what's an "oponant"?
spookyadler 3 years ago
Neocon ergo oponant. Greedy suicidal anarchists. Take all life down with them. & not too bright either.

HEYBUDD: "The Immancipation Proclimation did not free ONE slave. Not one. "
Misleading. The key word you forgot to parrot is "immediately". Every Union advance after 1-Jan-1863 freed the slaves in the newly controlled areas.

HEYBUDD: "Lincoln was not an oponant of slavery."
But he was an "opponent". Your quote only demonstrated that he valued saving the Union more than destroying the institution of slavery. You might also be confused by Lincoln's conviction that the federal government was prohibited by the Constitution from abolishing slavery in the states where it already existed.
wildwilly1111 3 years ago
Pointing out that saving the union was more important than abolishing slavery does NOT mean Lincoln wasn't an opponent of slavery.
Learn the difference between "paramount object" (what Lincoln actually said) and "only object" (what you are trying to put into his mouth).

I don't have to "put any words in his mouth". Read some history. Lincoln was not opposed to slavery.
Documented. By words from his own mouth.
Read.
HEYBUDD 2 years ago
I did read. You think "paramount" means "only". It doesn't. For the SECOND TIME, the fact that Lincoln put saving the union ABOVE freeing the slaves does NOT prove he wasn't opposed to it.

If history is any indicator, that Jeff Frederick may one day become president. He's as big an idiot as GW Bush, and people love that.
I shiver at the thought.

Glenn Beck is killing you in the ratings. MSNBC is surviving off bail-out money! Pathetic
BORNTWYCE 3 years ago
Glen Beck should ensure his majic underwear is made out of tin foil so it matches the hat he should be wearing.
He's lying to all of you every day. Get out of the right wing Echo chamber (Fox/Drudge/Limbaugh) and check out some facts.

That's right, ratings make you right! So anyone who dares challenge the absolute of the majority, which four years ago supported the war, you suck! [sarcasm]

My ratings are astronomical... but I assume you meant Keith's.
I also assume you can back up your "fact" that Beck out-rates Olbermann?
And even if he does... who cares. It doesn't make him any less of a vapid idiot.
