I'm 13 and I'm going on the Voyager of the seas in July. But I'm way to mature for my age. (Not physically, mentally) and I was wandering if I was able to go to the 15 - 17 club instead? It looks so much fun. Thanks. x
@MiniMoverXaV The 15 - 17 year old room is a lot of fun but they are really strict about ages! So my guess is that you probably wont get to join the older group just because of your age. Have fun though!
is the cruise llike really fun for, say, a 16 year old guy? im going this summer and i dont want it to be akward lol. on cruises do you meet peopel and just hang out with them for the whole thing or is it just you being akward. im just wondering cause im going with only my family and ill be the only teen. thanks =D
@mcnutty93 when i was 16 i had a lot of fun on it. just got to the meeting the first night at optix and you'll make so many friends! everyone is in the same position as you, pretty much knowing no one. everyone wants to have fun so they are friendly. i made some of the best friends on cruises i never saw my family on vacation just my friends. you'll love it trust me....
@mcnutty93 yup! every night you'll get a cruise compass and a teen one to tell you whats going on in the teen club that day and the times. so make sure to look at that and you'll know everything. the activities aren't always too popular but once you have a group of friends you'll be at the pool, sports deck and all that stuff the actitivies wont even matter. make sure to go to the teen disco every night its fun!

@mcnutty93 the club does have teen directors who supervise activities and will be in the club almost all the time. some of them are really cool and others i hated. depending on how cool they are will determine what they let you do. some of them wont let you dance a certain way but others could care less and will join you. ohhh god hookups...they happen a lot. i've never been on a cruise without hooking up. just find the right person and it works!

How good is Optix disco, cos i'm 17 and i don't want it to be like a disco with loads of 15 yr olds (no offence) because there is a huge gap between schoolers & sixth formers, i just want it to be like the nightclub but for 16 or 17 yr olds. at least i know that the majority of people will be middle class, but will there 14 confused kids be? ummm it varies. i went on mariner of the seas over the summer and i was 17 and there were a lot of 15, 16 and 17 year olds....honestly you have fun with whoever's there. plus i also met people outside of the club who were older like in their 20's. you will have a lot of fun..just be outgoing! =)

Hmm really? On royal caribbean the age is 12-14 then 15-17...the 15-17 use optix or fuel starting at like 10pm until 2am i think. There is no other teen club on the ship. I know one night the teens take over the adult disco for a dance party with a dj thats soooo much fun!
But it also depends on the people on your cruise. If you have amazing ones you will have the best time. I have never had a bad cruise!
Yeah, freedom and liberty are 7 night cruises. The one I went on, Explorer of the Seas was a 10day cruise! The longer the cruise the better =]
But yeah Navigator does the shorter cruises. It will still have a teen club, its always on the ship lol. And if you plan on going during spring break there should be lots of teens so the teen club should be filled, and the parties should be good!
All royal caribbean ships have teen clubs. The newer the ship the nicer the teen club will be!

Um teen staff, was ok, not the best. Im 16, and loved optix, met amazing people and had so much fun! Not sure how the 12-14 stuff was..but the 15-17 stuff was amazing!! I loved it! Have fun, you will love this cruise!
nah i wasnt the only person that thought optix sux. im a year older than the age requirement for optix, but my friends were 17. i got a sneak peek.. it sucked. the chamber was all 40 yr olds.. for real. bermuda was perfect age range - 16-21 mostly. and I did dance.. it just sucked. the music inside went from uber gangster to techno to 80s. wtf mate?
I loved it anyway! The people I met we always had fun! We were always there at night basically. And one night on the ship it was 80's night so lots of 80's songs were played in optix for awhile we still all danced, lol. We had realllly good music to dance to all the time. Walk it out, 2 - Step remix, party like a rockstar..and those type of songs..so fun =]
optix was sooooo fun! Maybe you just didn't have fun people to dance with! haha. We had teen night in the chamber so fun too!! We didn't stay long enough in bermuda we were there from 8-5

some ships have optix some have fuel, they are basically the same thing.
