This instructor has missed the whole carrying part. The horse is yielding to bit pressure at the 5th vertebrae and not lowering the haunches. The rider is holding the horse which is why the horse is clearly showing discomfort. This horse should be in self carriage as he does travers. the rider should just touch his mouth to only keep him through, then leave him alone. There is too much pressure down the reins which is affecting his balance. As the video continues this horse gets clearly tired.
@klfkdressage I couldn't agree more, the horse looks like it is just too much, the rider would be better off working with the horses movement not forcing him into a position that is clearly uncomfortable. I have trained a lot of horses and this is not a good instructor.
great posting - really good to see how all the canter work prepared Timon for half pass, took to it so easily! congrats to both Jackie and Timon on the win at Myerscough, will miss these postings when he goes to the US, it's been a fascinating journey - many thanks and good luck!
ooh I wish I could ride dressage; my mom did and she always talks about how fun it was and I see people riding dressage all the time and now I am depressed =.=
but anywho, you look like an awesome rider to me <3

This rider needs to allow her horse to carry himself or he is going to be in a painful behind the vertical position all of the time.

one thing that might help is trying to not cross your inside hand to the outside. it will help him keep his shoulders straight:)
