The song was originally a sudanese patriotic song. Tilahun heard the lyric from Ahmed Al-Mustafa, and loved it. So Al-Mustafa allowed him to use and sing in Amharic. Remeber that Tilahun was inspired by no other singer than Ahmed Al-mustafa. While Tilahun was in Welliso in his boyhood,his Sudanese school teacher named Mr. Shaddad used to make him listen the songs of Ahmed Al-Mustapha. Then music life of Tilahun started. He joined Hager Fikir Theatre. He remained forwards.Afendi from Addis Ababa
