  • gun shots!

  • @queenofcourt - hi again queenofcourt ( are you one of the Williams sisters by the way? lol) - saw Jakub's forehand again - I see what you mean about 'stops thru his swing on FH' - you mean he pauses at power position before accelerating to contact. (originally i thought you meant he doesn't perform a full stroke).

I'm not convinced this is too much of a weakness, though some coaches say the pause point should be earlier, when left arm comes across in unit turn.

    He has good timing!

  • ten kluk nema zadny talent...z toho nic nebude

  • good to show your game..its nice

  • Hi queenofcourt - not sure what you mean when you say 'he stops through his swing' - I see a full swing when I re-viewed this video clip.

  • i love the left handed assist on ur forehand, and the "winshield wiper motion" is perfectly executed.however, i du agree by saying u cud step into it a bit more, judging fro mthe beginning of the vid, and u cud also get a bit lower on your slice, and step into it a bit more, try aiming for directlyehind the ball, directly under the ball, or somewhere in between to control the spin of ur backhand slice, the slice is an absolutely amazing weapon 2 hav, otherwise, everythin else looks fine

  • hi Jakub - nice strokes - an even greater weight transfer from the back foot to the front foot on forehand will get you even more power. And turn more sideways on the volleys will give you more options to direct the ball wherever you want.

  • your game reminds me of Andy Murray, or maybe just his videos, cause everything is so loud indoors! j/k.

  • u are ok for div 2 .groudies r very strange.

  • u seem to have a very abbreviated stroke for ur groundies. which is fine considering you get an ample amount of racquet speed as it is. I can see ur a consistent player and not much can really go wrong in a match unless they outplay you. very well done here.

  • Looks a bit like a table tennis forehand but wow you still get plenty of pace. U hittin topspin? I cant really tell from ur grip. Nice way to bang the serve btw

  • u got to Barry. ive gone to see your team. im looking to make it onto the Barry team. Id really like to hit with you. Hopefully as a team mate. Good luck this season. I will be antending some of ur games at the tennis center.

  • Dude ur grip looks a lot like berasategui's, a really fcked up grip to use, but u have nice groundstrokes anyway

  • You are good for sure. But I guess they've tried or maybe not, to change your forehand grip, its way passed through western. I had the same "problem" i did have lot of control with top spin balls but at the same time, my shots werent as faster and when the ball came low it was kinda difficult to hit. Great anyway

  • People are only talking about your hitting speed but you have very nice net clearance and angles. I don't think people noticed that when you ran your opponent you hit more than couple shots around the service line at a slight angle so that when the ball got to him it was far off to the side. You're a bit better than me it looks like but if when you're team comes down to Texas to play I'd love to hit with you some.

  • Thank you for your input. Appreciate it.

  • Very excellent video! I really enjoy watching your forehand. I never felt comfortable stopping the racquet with my other hand. Wrapping around looks fluid but stopping the racquet (when done correctly) looks so crisp! Great shoulder turn.

  • Thank you. I'm going to a D2 college in Miami. Good luck in your future too!

  • what tennis string do you use and have you found a college?

  • Currently the Signum Pro Poly-Plasma 1.28 mm. And gladly, yes, I found a good college.

  • And is it (sppp)the same as in the video, Congratulations btw.

  • thank you. the video was taken in march and i played iso tour 3000 i think.

  • ur pretty good!

  • thanks!

  • Where are you goin to school?

  • your strokes are good ... keep up the good work

  • Thanks!

  • What college did you get into?

  • I said I want to play college tennis, and I will beginning this fall :) And as I said I know where my game is and I never said that I'm playing satellite or challenger tournaments. I've played some future like 3 years ago and I lost in the qualification draw. Maybe you really misunderstood my goals for the next few years ;) I mean who knows what will happen after college..

  • I hope that I can improve my game playing college tennis the next 3 years, so that's how it is. Any other suggestions huh? :)

  • Don't worry.. I know where my game is.. frankly you can't really estimate the pace from a video like this, nonetheless everyone except you who saw this video (including tennis coaches and really good players) said that my strokes were fast enough ;)

Can I just ask you.. are you a player, a coach or what's your relationship with tennis?

ps: I do think (and again I'm not the only one) that I can do those speeds you mentioned, but it's not always about the speed u know.. ;)

  • It's your opinion.. it's a wrong one.. but hey everyone makes a mistake from time to time :)

  • Thanks for your opinion. I don't fully understand what you mean by that, but maybe you can describe it more in detail.

  • Your movement is graceful i am sure you are agile and get to balls easily. you can work on slicing your vollies to get them crisp and hard. have you won some tournments in your region?, did you get any good responses from universities. Best of luck you are talented and get lots of fun practice.

  • Thank you for your remarks. I have won tournaments here in Czech Republic and I did find a university already, so I'm happy now and I hope my game will even improve in the USA. College tennis 4 life, peace! ;)

  • your strokes look kind of robotic. but i can tell they're good nonetheless haha.

  • Yes I have to change that! Your an all around good player! Also if you have anymore vids please post them.

I really like your play. Reminds me of mine. ;)

  • I think your a nice player and all but you need to follow through way better. Your forehand is perfect. No your backhand though.

You get nice strokes and your footwork is good, Im not complaining. Your serv is awesome and so are your volleis and smashes.

    Good Luck Jakub!

  • Thanks! Btw most of the people who saw me playing are saying, that my backhand is better than my forehand, but it can look different in a short video like this.. :) Peace!

  • whats the tension on your strings?
