  • gotta love that bass...

  • Classic prog!

  • Back in '74 I loved all of their music! Still do! But back then I was able to get even with all the hard core country guys in the Navy with "Tocatta" HaHa soooo cool!

  • Great song, based on the first movement of Janáček’s Sinfonietta (1926) (plus some Bach in the middle) ^_^

  • A denizen of the progverse am I...through a pool that reflected the black moon of evil did I fall, only to come to ground on this desolate, wrecked plane; and now the music of the three spheres is my only link to my home-but when the worlds on both sides of the great glass are in alignment once more, the pure blue light of their exalted strains will show me the way to go home...

  • the vocals are angelic

  • Sweet ! Now, to check out the Danish group Knife Edge !

  • Listen to this, among other KE songs, here on Youtube: Knife Edge - Your Impression

  • By the way - check this out, a Danish group called Knife Edge!

  • At least four "Youtubers" must bee tone deaf! Knife Edge is a really masterpiece ☺

  • This song is mad mann.

  • Favorite song off the album.

  • this is sephroths 2nd theme song

  • Listen the original string Quartet, from Leos Janacek. ELP quotes Bach and others also. The best progressive rock !

  • somewhat reminiscent on Yes...

  • @Interst890 yup but it still rules o and early genesis

  • My First Album..I had my parents pulling their hair out!

  • This song brings back memories as one of the first progressive rock albums I ever heard when I found it in my parents' record collection as a kid. This one of ELP's best songs, if not they're best one.

  • His voice is so... alluring.

  • @TravelerKM

Yes a great under-rated voice and you might know Lake sang on the first 2 or 3 albums of King Crimson.

  • @cree8vision As a matter of fact, I did not know that! I must look into that...

  • ELP toured with the (back then) state of the art MOOG Modular synthesizer a large, heavy and temperamental instrument that even DR. Moog thought was crazy, but Keith Emerson always made it sound like Heaven.
