@4drena1in3 they have the right because you give it to them when you sign that piece of paper, you are agreeing that you subject yourself to the random drug testing besides its the job were you go to that you should be concern, UTI will train you and get their money after that if you get smoking weed at work or have been found to be doing such thing, your employeer decides the fate of your future. You might want to rethink your plans and goals

Just did my group project got 473 horse out of the 350 chev. thats with a fogger kit installed, which is the absolute best mod that was offered at our school, when from 334 to 473 horse, so i'm thinking we got more then a 50 shot which was planned.
UTI is a bunch of bullshit. they sell you on building race cars, hot rod this,street legal that and when you go to school its all basic shit. . When you get into a dealership they dont care if you can do motor swaps or build high horse power cars. All they want is some who is fast, fixes shit right the first time and makes them money. Plus they send you to dealer specific training anyways. They Pay You to RE-LEARN what you paid for at UTI. Thats just my opinion though!

every month they have 2 graduate ceremonies with over 20 graduates 480 + people a year and thats uti only not wyotech institute and 98% of them are looking for a job as a tech and only 1 out of 150 will get the job and the others will get stuck with a $28,000.00 bill
if you are in the rancho u.t.i go to employment and ask them what i did after i got a job referral and i asked "how many people have applied for this position ?" and they will tell you the truth and the numbers i got where 5 if i was lucky but the most common number where 35-60+, and my graduation had 20+ people and 2 weeks later my friends had the same

UTI is all about the money! Not bad training, but not want you would think. You should check out Washtenaw College in Ann Arbor, Mi. They have a few of their student built cars on the Tube (Search "TEAM WCC"). They build real high end customs but they do not spend big money on ads like the others (I took a tour there last week). They are a bunch of bad asses! BEST AUTOMOTIVE/WELDING SCHOOL IN NORTH AMERICAN SINCE 1965! Check out their Custom Cars & Concepts Program.

I am taking auto at a community college right now, But I saw an add for a jaguar dealship that said "you half to have graduated from a techincal school". What is with that. Do you learn something at U.T.I that you wouldnt learn anywhere else? Engines are the same no matter where you go to learn about them.

well its worth it if u plan on having a career in that field, there are certain classes that are more lecture than hands on and there are classes that are more hands on then so its kinda hard to say. but each phase (course) is three weeks long if u didnt know

I don't want to sound ignorant and presume something... If I am NOT mistaking, this is Hot Rod Class... and it looks so much like the Campus in Norwood, Mass which is where I am attending right now!!!

its pretty fun for me, right now im in my third phase which is advanced electric and im taking auto mototive diesel industry. i go the exton pa campus and learning is easy and fun for me atleast

im wondering too...im planning on the exton,pa campus in december..is it worth the money? and how hands on is it versus in class lecture?

well its worth it if u plan on having a career in that field, there are certain classes that are more lecture than hands on and there are classes that are more hands on then so its kinda hard to say. but each phase (course) is three weeks long if u didnt know
