before 1080p, 1080i was the highest resoultion 4 years ago. that's when i first bought my 32" lcd, it was fine since the cable box offers only 1080i resolution still to this day. the 1080p is better when you use it with a blu-ray or high-def dvd's. the OLED tvs are suppose to be the next upcoming generation of tv's. i saw an 11" size @ best buy. it was stunning. cheers.

$ 877.00 @ pc richards NY. great tv for great price. i bought a sharp 32"Aqous 1080i 4 years ago for $ 2200.00. that's going to my bedroom. if you need an lcd tv, sharp is the way to go. great contrast. and best value.

i think you might mean 1080p... 1080i is interlaced which isnt a very great HD

When I got there at 4 am there wasn't a lot of people. But they started coming quickly. I went inside around 5 am and sat in front of the store until it opened. I was the second person in line. Everyone ran to the TV section and asked for the TV. I was second. They only had 12. And they sold out in less than 3 minutes. I would suggest going early and waiting in line early if you dont want to risk not getting something. Than run to the department and tell the person that you want it.

Hey great tv.I actually picked up the samsung 46 inch 530 lcd.I wanted the 550 but the difference was not that much and the unopened clearance 550 they had sold before I could get it....grrr...Oh well I am excited.How do you like the sharp?

i have a 45' sony and when i put my 360 to 1080i the game have those small jagged line when u see object or look in far distance can anybody help,do any anybody have the same problem as i do!

mhm. Insignia is an OK brand. its definitly not the best but its ok, ad there not pricey. you can get a 32 inch HD insignia for 500 bucks at future shop. the best brands are Sony, RCA, sharp, Panisonic, Toshiba, Plasma,and Samsung and there are a few more, but these brans make the highest quality LCD's.
