  • This has got to be the cutest thing I've ever seen!

  • if i remember right chins have red eyes you just have to caych them in the right light

  • @Darkseraphmiyako18 Not all chins have red eyes. Her sister, Zoey, was a hetero ebony and she had dark brown eyes. The red eyes just come with certain colors.

  • don't feed 'er to many raisins... food with much fat in it like nuts, raisins, corn an other stuff like that can cause BLOAT >: which in MANY cases and more often than not... kills the chinchin >:

  • @ineedyaoi It's the sugar in the raisins that is the problem. And I only fed her a couple a day. Raisins are fine as treats, in moderation.

  • @cutestuff2k really, because my chinchin almost died from bloat because he ate raisins every day... (ironically his name is raisin)

  • is that an albino chinchilla? just wondering since she has red eyes =o

  • @Deviicat556 Nope, she's not white, she is a tan chinchilla. Her coloring comes with red eyes just like albinos.

  • So adorable! If only I had the time and energy to commit to a higher maintenance pet. Alas, I am stuck with a couple gaping goldfish. =/

  • could they have dried cranberries? we bought a pack but donno if to give them to him

  • @sdrea91 Dried cranberries are fine, but they should be given in moderation just like raisins.

  • You should name him Fatso :D

  • Excellent choice of song. She's so cute savoring it! Crash's shreddies are gone in a matter of seconds. (I don't feed him raisins b/c of the risk of blood sugar problems and liver damage.)

  • Epic music:)

  • lol the music xD

  • wow.. fat Ö-Ö

  • so cute <33 :D

  • hahaha the music probably matches how your chin felt:)

  • our chinchilla eats the raisin whole.:]

  • aww to cute

  • sooooooooooooooooooooo cute !

  • haha chinchilla's love raisins mine goes crazy when i give him 1 he wants to grab em himself instead of me grabbing 1 and give to it to him he just puts he's head into the box and grabs 1 XD

  • epic music ... for an epic moment x'D

  • ARHG MY EYES ARE MELTING FROM CUTENESS

  • lol at the music :) adorable!

  • Lol, I love the music.

  • Omg Evil red eyes

  • Its Pikachu lolololololololololol

  • @SonicRaveRage that does but its a chinchilla!!

    =D

  • My chins are silly, if you've every had cats and given them treats they come running when they hear the bag. My chins do the same thing (well they run up to the side of the cage I am closest too) when they hear me pick up their raisin box. It's so cute, but they can't have many a day.

  • Lol what's so scary about her eyes?

  • THEY'RE STARING INTO MY SOUL

  • @cutestuff2k The pinkish red tint. Some people get freaked.

  • @cutestuff2k THOSE EYES CAN SEE INTO YOUR SOUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL GOOD MUSIC FOR IT

  • very nice cage!!!

  • My chinchilla is wet from the inferior lip to his chest, but he is active and eats very well (sometimes he eats too much). Is he sick ? I heard that can be malocussion but he eats well.

  • Have you taken him to the vet? The vet could tell you for sure if it's malocclusion. That's a very serious problem that needs to be addressed right away. My other chin had a wet chest too, and after checking to make sure the water bottle wasn't leaking, the vet confirmed it was malocclusion. She ended up dying while under anesthesia to grind down her teeth. They don't do well when put under. It's very bad for them to get wet because of fungus, so please find out what's causing it.

  • anesthesia can kill a chin?

  • Yes. Her little heart stopped while she was under anesthesia. She was 2 months away from being 5 years old. Not very old for a chin.

  • Anyway i talked to a vet and he told me to give my chin gnawing stones from the pet shop.

I gave him one, he gnawed it and he stopped drooling and became happy again.

  • Did you give him anything to chew on before the stones? Mine always had wooden huts, sticks, crunchy cereal (as treats), hay, her food, cardboard, and one of those pumice stones to chew on.

  • some wood and hay but he didnt eat it

  • Weird. Lily always loved hay and gnawed all over her wooden hut.

  • You should also keep him on a scheduled feeding time so he doesn't overeat. Make sure to keep treats to a minimum as well.

He might still eat even though it causes him pain. My Zoey started refusing her favorite raisins and that combined with the wet chest told me she had a problem. If it is malocclusion, the moisture is from drool.

  • Evil! 1:01

    i eats you soul O_O

  • Give him Apple Jacks. They love them.

  • aww

  • It looks like a gray Pikachu.

    Very adorable!

  • perfect music

  • brilliant

  • haha cute little guy

  • soooo cute!

  • I've heard they're just fine in really small doses- like no more than three per week.

  • simply beautiful

  • so cute! i love when theyre holding your finger :D

  • omg my chinchilla is a total fat ass compared to yours. she doesnt even take the time to take little bites of raisin, she just sticks the whole thing in her mouth

  • take care sometimes they die like people with high cholesterol or stuff like that

  • @dcp347 omfg i loved to see that XD no offense =P

  • @dcp347 chinchillas aren't actually supposed to eat raisins... that's probably why yours is fat! anything sugary or fatty is bad for them, because they store it in their kidneys like a toxin... they should only be given shredded wheat cereal, rose hips, rosebuds, & dried herbs like chamomile or dandelion... everything in moderation too, only 1 or 2 treats per day... WHY DOESN'T ANYONE KNOW THIS?!?!

  • @wilderwein She only as about one a week. I am aware of all of this info lol I just cant deny her when she begs for them, shes my child

  • You're chinchilla is a slow eater. Mine can eat a raisin in 1 bite :)

  • Haha wow!

  • The perfect couple!!! When giving my chin a raisin, I always offer him the box they come in so he can choose which one he wants and on occasion, he's been overly cheeky and either grabbed a huge ball of raisins or picked one out, dropped it, picked another out dropped etc...greedy beast!!

  • Lol! I actually did laugh out loud while reading that haha! That's cute =)

  • Perfect music! You can almost see the thrill on their little faces when they get a raisin!

  • is it ok 2 feed chins pruns??

  • Yes they are safe for chins, but should be fed in moderation like raisins.

  • Think about this - prunes make your poo runny - chins are covered in soft fur - you do the math!

  • nice eyes

  • sorry. melbournekandirain is my brothers account.but it was me who write the comment so plz answar :)

  • I've never bred a chinchilla so I can't say for sure, but judging from a quick google search, I'd say they don't eat their babies. It seems like you haven't done enough research before deciding to breed, which is a very bad idea. I strongly suggest separating the females from the male. Do not separate the babies from the mom until they are ready to be weaned (at least 8 weeks). Chinchilla gestation period is 111 days (almost 4 months) so don't expect babies anytime soon if they have mated.

  • cutestuff2k I totally agree with everything you have said with regards to people should be doing their research BEFORE breeding.

  • ehhm that was many questions :o. but i have a question. when the chinchilla babies are born do the parents eat them?if they do i will get a cage only for the babies

  • They don't eat their babies but the babies and mother should not be in the same cage with the father.

If you don't have a background in breeding leave it to the pros. There are lots of chins needing homes without breeding more.

  • haha okay xD i got two chinchilla girls today and a boy!i hope i hope i get chinchilla babys soon!

  • Congrats! But did you only get opposite sexes so you could breed them? If so, I don't think that's a very good idea. At the very least, make sure you do EXTENSIVE research before you even attempt to breed them. Are you prepared for medical emergencies? Is the cage set up for babies? What are you going to do with the babies once they're born? Can you afford to care for them all? I personally wouldn't want to add to the pet population. Good luck though!

  • haa tha'ts a fat one but so cute!

  • Haha she's all fur, not fat at all xD

  • hahahaha! that was hilarious, I had a chinchilla and she was crazy for raisins.

  • feed them with what they eat hold like a raisen hold it and show it in front of them then grab uhm

  • I have 2 chinchillas ive had them for 2 moutnhs ad they still wont let me pet them that often what do i do

  • just give them a raisin like in this vid occasionally.

they'll get used to you soon!

Mine did take a couple of months aswell to pet.

  • Yeah, give them a rasin and while they are preoccupied having a good old munch stroke them gently :) you should leaving picking them up until they are comfortable enough to climb on you themselves

  • ¡Qué lindo animalito!

  • He's such a fatty. ;3

    Cute.

  • Way to cute!^^

  • mine likes marshmellows

  • Chinchillas should not be eating marshmallows! Even raisins have to be given in moderation, and they're made from fruit. Marshmallows are pure sugar and are not good for them at all. I strongly suggest not using those as treats anymore.

  • do chinchillas need collars?

  • yeah those electro shock ones...-.-

  • ur kidding right?

  • of course:D

  • Lol nope, and I'm sure they can probably get out of them even if you did manage to get one on them. They're not as fat as they appear. That's all fur xD

  • Comment removed

  • Are Chinchillas potty-trained or they just shit all over the house?

  • Mine was potty trained to pee in a litter box, but she can't control her poop.

  • Hey,

Should Chinchillas be kept in cages at night?

My mate has 2 and they sleep in cat beds and go to the toilets in cat litter trays?

is that normal or is he odd?

    Also

    "raisins are made of fruit"

    Brilliant. :P

  • Mine stayed in a cage all the time except during playtime. But the cage was huge enough. I've never heard of chins sleeping in cat beds and using cat trays, but if it works for your friend, that's awesome. He must have them trained really well. Mine chewed everything so I couldn't trust them to be out on their own for long.

  • i just got 2 chinchilla yesterday any tips

  • Vacuum cleaners and/or brooms will become your best friend because their poops get everywhere. Don't feed them too many sugary treats like raisins. Their ribs are very fragile, so be careful when handling them. Make sure you have a good vet just in case. Provide plenty of things for them to chew on. Let them out every day for playtime, but make sure you chin proof the room, because they can do a lot of damage. Make sure the room temperature isn't too warm.

  • lol! i love the music. =))

  • is your chinchilla a beige?

  • She's a tan.

  • Where did you get your cage? I am looking for another one.
