@Konner69 I still have an 89 as well. I just bought some 16" Rota Grid wheels for mine as well. Unfortunately during tuning I spun a rod bearing...Time for a rebuild.
I had a 90 GT silver, stock. It had red/black factory(I think) side pinstriping. The car was slow off the line but rolling start, she was fast. It eventually wouldn't pass inspection after the horrid auto seatbelt froze up amongst other issues so I dumped it for a new car back in 02.

i had a 89 ford probe GL but it had the center console switch and if i ever turned it on it would make the engine give this low roar and it ran faster with it on. it had letters under the switch but they were rubbed away....
car was stolen from me by a mechanic.....tranny went out
What a beautiful car. Only reason I changed it is because the shocks where too expensive to replace (due to their electronic adjustable dampening control).
You could have just not used the dampering system and put in the shocks from non turbo ford probe 1st gen same thing just no dampering system. But it sure is nice to have the programmed ride control.
1st Gen Probes are fucking bullet proof. I have a '92 GL that I drove around for a week with no MAF, or airbox. Found a new one at a junkyard, threw it on and it ran like new. I hit a curb head-on going 30 mph, and the alignment stayed perfect.
i got a 91 gl... stripped it and sourced a turbo motor from a 91 gt and completely built it.... it was a sleeper until someone finally figured out i was boostin...
nice vid. i like how you put it together. i have a GL and put the turbo computer, all the sensors, and built the engine to be a turbo engine. so noone expects the turbo. :)
@laredo86skank YoU could add 4wheel steering. I think the 1st gen probe looks better than the mx6 gt come on now. I will tell all of you what I will make a new ford probe tribute vid and a mx6 tribute vid. We have a show on you tube called hard times.
