To answer your question, the fags that call Katatonia sellouts for not sticking with their "Dance of December Souls" sound would. Katatonia sounds infinitely better since they adjusted and grew into their sound. Personally I think every album from Discouraged Ones onward has been better and better and I cannot wait for their next, along with Opeth's (they're in the studio!) and Swallow the Sun's as well.

Fantastic video. Though when I watch it I have a hard decipher the story, if there is one to be seen, I just really enjoy the imaginary as it accompanies the instrumentation. Very dark and romantic while retaining a tasteful and pleasant aesthetic. Apt compliment to an a track that was very powerful as a standalone.

Just listen to any early early Katatonia or October Tide and you will see what I mean.. some of the riffs are almost exaclly the same, it seems they have just taken this style and watered it down.. the end result are dry, boring songs that go nowhere.
