OMG! This is AWESOME -- sure not the same "Joe DeFrancesco" I knew back in the Midwest; must be a large clan. Anyhow, "Stephen Colbert" on guitar - hilarious comment. Very funny. I needed that laff today.
@miketharipr Please don't compare Frank and Joey to such low-life pieces of human debris. Joey is a large man but he has much more class than those dunder-headed fools.
@TheMadMusicMan Ummmmmm .... I was just adding to someone else's comments if you read it more carefully. And it should have been pretty obvious it was meant as a joke. Relax, homie!
I really wonder what´s wrong with this world. Here we have a great piece of music and a really great Hammondplayer. But instead of just simply enjoying it, there are always some people that have to talk about his weight! For gods sake, why has everyone to be judged from his looks??? Don´t give me that health-babble, that´s just an excuse, almost nobody cares about it.
HaHa! This song sounds so sweet but in reality the lyric in Italian is a man spewing venom about a "BAD WOMAN" that God won't forgive for screwing him over!
Joey is the man. I never met a Hammond player (and I know quite a few, including fantastic gospel players - I myself am a rather humble player, I'm more at home at the piano) who didn't love Joey. It's not only his lighning fast, ultra-clean virtuoso playing, it's also his wonderful musicality (no "showmanship" just for the sake of it, everything he plays just feels great!) and sublime dynamics. Joey makes the Hammond talk!
@phunkybis Absolutely NOT. Jimmy Smith was the teacher and mentor for Joey. Jimmy invented and pioneered the fantastic Hammond jazz sound and playing. Joey is the stundent who became a virtuoso. Just like Fats Waller was the piano mentor and teacher of the wonderful Art Tatum (another virtuoso jazz keyboarder - George Gwershwin- a virtuoso pianisty himself - once said, that Art atum should get a "speeding ticket" - same for the great Joey D. on the Console Hammond ;-)
We should put together some money, and hire a fittnes guru armada to attack him and save him for us! I myself look the youtube every single day for any new videos from him.

Primero deberías aprender a escribir.

I’m sorry “Phosonell”, you didn’t understand the comments you are criticizing.
Everybody knows that Joe De Francesco is very good playing Hammond B3 Organ.
No doubt about that. Doesn’t matter how he is. Absolutely, If he is fat or thin.
Because we love him, we give him some advices.
He must be aware that if he goes on this way he won’t last for much long time.
Sorry, my opinion and long life to him, one of the greatest Hammond B3 organ player.
