high level of thinking deadganon. except the fact that human beings have the capacity for rational thought and the ability to execute the attainment of their immediate freedom, making your entire comparison as big a waste as the time you took to input that dribble.
the reason you shouldn't try to show an idiot up is that you prove yourself to belong to the same club.
Many ppl are ignorente where the dlphins comes from. Many of those dolphins/orcas in captivity has been capture from the wild. even if its illegal in america to capture orcas/dolphins it still going on ever the world, and sw and other parks buy dolphins/orcas that has been capture from the wild. Those animals are to smart på be in captivity. It shortens their lives a dolphin can be over 40 years in wild, but in captivity they reach the age around 10. is that right?
and yeah yeah elephants are smart, they never forget right? Like dolphins don't have emotions, plus they're both mammals... Dolphin can be most emotional even with other species.. and we can teach him the sign language of deaf.. I acctualy tried talking to one of the dolphins in this way.. He understood me everything.. also, consider that dolphins live less than 40 on average whereas elephants around 60, and they both reach similar wisdom..
Elephants are "the beast which passeth all others in wit and mind"..no doubt about it.
People go on about dolphins and whales being so smart etc despite elephants having the lowest birth-to-adult brain ratio, meaning they are the animal with the LOWEST instinctive behavior. The elephant brain also has as many nuerons as a human compared with dolphins who actually have very few.
Elephants are our closest relatives emotionally and their brain is very much like our own. To bury the dead is smart.

Firstly, the EQ is a TERRIBLE way to measure intelligence. Not all dolphins have high EQ's...Orca have an EQ the same as a chimp of around 2.57 whereas Ganges River dolphins have an EQ of 1.55. NOT all dolphins are all that intelligent in the way people like to believe. Also...the treeshrew has the highest EQ of ANY animal (refer s.a.c. paper)...do you consider them intelligent? Many whales also have low EQ's..because they are LARGE animals. An elephant brain is more similar to us than a dolphin
I think I understand what the "experiment" is all about. It's how easily humans can be tricked if they aren't given the chance to step back from the experience to reflect on what is happening. They can get caught up in the experience and be completely swindled and most never snap out of it and do the right thing because everyone else around them is giving validating feedback about what's going on. Peer pressure and mob/group psychology play a part as well.
can we talk about how dolphins are wild animals and shouldn't be confined to tanks and forced to interact with humans? seriously, did anyone know that most dolphins in those parks are ripped away from thier families or are the results of dolphin slaughters in japan where they kill dozens at a time resulting in hundreds a year. seriously people, do some research.
oh yea those poor things.... its so sad they get good food and health care and excercise.... they look happy to me actually. and are you now saying we should do research about dolphins if we want to view a clip with a dolphin in it? what the hell man XD
wow, i didn't know ppl could read dolphin expressions. dolphins patrol ranges of oceans for thousands of miles and you really think they are happy to kept in a tank that is maybe 10 feet deep and forced to perform unnatural tricks. i said to research dolphins and their behaviors before assuming that they are happy b/c that's what you've been told to think
HELLO, i do nothing but research this topic. they do the tricks because they don't get fed if they don't do the tricks. look up the death rates yourself. look up the low birth rates. look up the pyschological problems they get. look up how many times they 'act out' and attack their trainers and eachother. i'm not just saying what i think i'm saying what i know. you're the one who's saying what you think.
Do you honestly think that if what you say is true they can do entire shows? You must be one of those people who believe everything that is on the internet and tv. Dolphins like their trainers, if they didnt they wouldnt do the tricks. They don't do stuff for humans or other animals if they dont like them.
yes they do when they get punished if they don't. you must be one of those ppl who believes everything that is on the internet and tv. if these animals like being in captivity then why do they attack their trainers and other animals? why do they die so early? why do they get so many health problems? why do their babies die most of the time within days?
What about the dolphins who have spent their entire lives in captivity? They'd have no idea how to fend for themselves or catch food. Not only that, but they'd have imprinted on humans, so they'd just hang around boats instead of other dolphins.
they have rehabilitation centers for them. also, there are very few dolphins who have spent their entire lives in captivity b/c dolphins don't breed weel in captivity. most of the babies die within days which is why the aquariums keep them secret until they are sure the baby isn't going to die. it is bad to teach animals to trust humans b/c not all humans can be tusted.
are you saying dolphins and orca don't live to a fraction of the live spam they would in the wild? that they have better birth rates? that they don't get depressed? that they like not seeing their family? if you answer yes to any of these it's obvious you nothing of cetaceans.
sandscorp your comment on if they didnt like their trainers they wouldnt do the trick... ummm what about slaves..... slaves in the past HATED their masters and yet they obeyed them, being slaves to the masters is like dolphins being to their trainers.... same concept, same role, different name for each person, instead of being called master, its being called trainer, doesnt change anything tho. stop being a 13 year old and actually think it out before you say it!!!!
The thing is, dolphins can talk to each other in a language based on math (we didn't even teach it to them, its based on singing and math and stuff) so a thing like this might be possible, we got monkeys to type things to humans.
Just shows how dumb humans can be compared to dolphins, a dolphin would never have fallen for a man talking Dolphinese ;)

I agree totaly, we are ignorant to believe a animal will every feel the same as they are in the wild. No doubt all living creatures have feeling.
